My device is the opposite, delayed notifications and screen but battery life is excellent.

Post [ROM] [12.0.0_r2] ArrowOS Poco X3 [BETA/EARLY RELEASE]

The thing is it never happened for me on this device until about a week ago. I tried updating the firmware and I still have the same issue. Staring at a blank screen waiting for it to turn on is ridiculous.

This behavior starts right after a clean flash so it doesn't solve it unfortunately.

Post [ROM] [12.0.0_r2] ArrowOS Poco X3 [BETA/EARLY RELEASE]

Is anyone else experiencing delayed notifications? I've always experienced it, but it's gotten a lot worse with the last few updates. I should also add that now when the phone has been sleeping for a while, when I press the power button it takes several seconds for the screen to light up. All...

Do not use the updater. Download through the browser. The updater can sometimes do a partial download while reporting 100 percent.

    Post [ROM][Android 12.1][SURYA] crDroid v8.9 [OFFICIAL][12-09]

Exactly. And that's assuming I want to stay decrypted, which I don't. Not to mention that those steps do not work.

Exactly what I did and It won't boot, tried updating the firmware, still nothing, managed to flash 8.5 and boot into it but google apps keep crashing, now I'm stuck reinstalling from scratch smh

Nope, avoided the updater specifically for that reason, downloaded to sd card and I'm stuck on the boot logo

    Post [ROM][Android 12.1][SURYA] crDroid v8.9 [OFFICIAL][12-09]

I've had this issue on both A11 and A12 roms. If it runs for more than a few hours, then it hangs on shutdown and if you leave it for half a minute or so it restarts on its own. So, to shut it down you need to allow it to crash like that first or force it to restart and then once it's booted up...

Post [ROM] [12.0.0_r2] ArrowOS Poco X3 [BETA/EARLY RELEASE]

My advice is don't use it. Instead go to the website on your phone and download the build you want, move it to your sd card and manually go into recovery and flash from your sd card. If you do it like that then you don't need to remove your pin. If you don't have an sd card you can use adb...

Are you currently encrypted? If yes then you have no choice but to delete everything and start over and this time flash dfe before booting. Using the feature in the recovery you then fake the encryption. To disable it is as simple as disabling the magisk module associated with the feature. And...

    Post [ROM][Android 12.1][SURYA] crDroid v8.9 [OFFICIAL][12-09]

1: I believe you still have to flash the zip that disables encryption. The feature in the recovery just makes sure that the system thinks it is encrypted. 2: Yes. 3: You have to format data so everything will be gone anyway. 4: Probably but not really sure. 5: Depends on what you mean by revert...

    Post [ROM][Android 12.1][SURYA] crDroid v8.9 [OFFICIAL][12-09]

On an unrelated note, my device appears to not be encrypted even though I didn't disable encryption (TWRP reads the internal storage and I can see folder names even though it should be gibberish). I did wipe the metadata partition (perhaps that was a mistake) because my understanding is that it...

Is anyone else having trouble downloading caption data for live caption? There's next to no info on this problem anywhere, and I've tried the standard stuff like uninstalling updates to Android System Intelligence, clearing its data, rebooting but it always fails and says couldn't download live...

Post [ROM] [12.0.0_r2] ArrowOS Poco X3 [BETA/EARLY RELEASE]

Twice in the past week my phone froze while in deep sleep. Had to hold the power button to restart which means it froze (which is worse than crashing and rebooting itself)

So it's not related to that either. Speaking of 120Hz, I like it because it makes scrolling a lot more responsive and it just feels better, the app loading speed is the same of course since it has nothing to do with refresh rate.
  23. J

    Post [ROM] [11.0.0] ArrowOS POCO X3 [OFFICIAL][SURYA][UNIFIED]

Try always forcing 120Hz and see if it still happens. Maybe you can narrow it down like that.

Oh, I see what you mean. That is odd. I've never experienced any change when charging vs not charging. How about charging form a power bank? There could still be the possibility that something else is causing interference in your house's wiring although it would have to be pretty extreme. This...

    Post [ROM] [11.0.0] ArrowOS POCO X3 [OFFICIAL][SURYA][UNIFIED]

Ok, so first of all, the phone is not rejecting anything from the charger. The phone itself decides how much current goes into the battery, so no matter how powerful the charger is, the phone will just take what it needs, and the charger will simply supply that if it can. Notice that when your...

Post [ROM] [12.0.0_r2] ArrowOS Poco X3 [BETA/EARLY RELEASE]

My fingers brush over the sensor, I have to have one finger stored only since I keep accidentally unlocking, which creates the other problem, so the problem is most definitely the lack of the feature I described. And besides even if failed attempts are not something you experience, it sucks...

Post [ROM] [12.0.0_r2] ArrowOS Poco X3 [BETA/EARLY RELEASE]

This rom definitely needs to have the ability to only activate the fingerprint reader when you wake the screen, just like in A11. I end up using the pattern most of the time just because handling the phone racks up so many failed attempts at unlocking, so it ends up defeating the purpose of the...

So there was always a risk, even in A11? If so I'm glad that didn't happen to me. Also would that be a hard or a soft brick? I imagine it would be a hard brick for something so low-level.

Post [ROM] [12.0.0_r2] ArrowOS Poco X3 [BETA/EARLY RELEASE]

Fixed manually by installing an app called activity launcher and searching within the app for "restore". "Data restore tool" will appear in the results, expand it and launch the activity that ends in "CloudRestoreFlowActivity". This will launch what was supposed to launch during the initial setup.

When setting up the phone I am unable to turn on the google one backup, this effectively means that I can't restore all my apps an settings easily. Tapping the "turn on" button does nothing and I'm forced to skip. It's annoying to say the least.

That's a shame, I hope they add it into the rom at some point. I've been holding out on upgrading till now, to make sure the rom has had time to mature become more reliable. Anyways, nice to see another twitch user on here

Post [ROM] [12.0.0_r2] ArrowOS Poco X3 [BETA/EARLY RELEASE]

There's an app called battery charge limit that can do that for you, however you need to be rooted, which is very easy to to with magisk.

Post [ROM] [12.0.0_r2] ArrowOS Poco X3 [BETA/EARLY RELEASE]

How fast is the charging speed with this rom (and a reasonably discharged battery), specifically, how much charging current does it display when using the stock charger and cable and an app like Ampere? If I recall correctly some of these roms have throttled the charging speed to below max. I...

I don't know if there is any protection in place to prevent such a thing, and if there is, how it's implemented and if it's implemented properly. Assuming the protection is nonexistent or not implemented, I still don't know what that would do to the earbuds. I guess it's best to just try another...

There aren't any daily updates. The last update was over a month ago, it's been this way for a while now, and even back when this was the latest Arrow rom it wasn't daily. Also you can disable the automatic check in the updater. That is if the problems are related to that at all.

I understand the current limitations in regards to decrypting. I was referencing something unrelated, that is, that in my experience the OTA updater on A11 often reports a complete download when in fact it fails partway, you tap install and the install fails in the recovery, you boot back up and...

Never mind, I fixed it by staying in the recovery after the failed update and flashing a previous known working build, which you should always keep on your device for cases like this. I then downloaded the update through the browser and it installed fine. This isn't the first time I've had...

Is anybody else having their statusbar items disappear in certain apps? It seems to me like it doesn't change the color of the icons/text making them effectively invisible. I've noticed this in the YouTube and Wikipedia apps but there could be more. It goes away when I switch to dark mode.
