Post [Q] Acer Iconia One 8 B1-810 root and bloatware

Is the B1-810 full uefi or ifwi? Does the TWRP tethered recovery work? if the twrp tethered works see if there is an ESP/ partition. Most of the baytrail android devices with full uefi don't have secure boot enabled so it's possible on those devices to swap out the bootloader with one that...

Maybe referencing this source will help you in someway https://github.com/android4intel-dev.git there are two different device kernel sources overlayed over a stable point from Intel's 3.10.20 kernel source, i used it to identify the device specific changes what where needed to get the...

I'm using the android-wear-6.0.1_r0.81 as my base it is v3.10.101, for my WiFi i had to add code to support acpi probing on bcmdhd source, i've noticed it is missing too from the Zenfone 3.10.72 source. I have added very minimal code from my lenovo's stock code, Watching the kid so be back...

The android-wear kernel/x86 has been a good reference, I'm actually using this kernel source as a base for android-7.1.1 on a different baytrail tablet, what kernel version are you working on?

I don't have a time frame but i might post a ****s and giggles build once i figure out why the kernel modules aren't loading and get the WiFi / Bluetooth working at least. It was so nice to see Android-7.1.1 booting on it.

If you leave out the Sony specific stuff the Sony Android 7 build guild is a good read for initial build system setup. There is some additional steps needed to get jack to work properly. With CyanogenMod dead in the water you might as well work towards cm-13.0 / cm-14.1 I don't expect we'll see...

Yeah, now just need to find a kernel config for the ME176C/X so we can get a build done to test, applying the ME176C/X device specific parts should be fairly trivial and the same shims should work for most baytrail with the 5.x.x blobs, camera shims will probably need device specific work but...
