If we ever get sensors and in-call audio fixed on 4.9, then LineageOS 19 will officially be supported. Until then there will be no (un)official support.

OTA ZIPs are another name for ROM ZIPs, and can be found on https://download.lineageos.org.
  9. JarlPenguin

    Post [ROM][OFFICIAL][cedric][11] LineageOS 18.1

No, sorry for not explaining. You download the ZIP on your PC, extract it (or extract NON-HLOS.bin from the ZIP). Then you reboot your phone to the bootloader, connect it to the PC and flash the file to the modem partition: fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin

Sorry for the issues. It'll be fixed in the next build, it seems that some changes I pushed broke boot on some SKUs.

The issue will be fixed in the next build, and this build will be taken down. Sorry for the inconveniences caused by this. That's definitely strange, I'll ask my testers to replicate it and hopefully I'll be able to fix it.

    Post [ROM][OFFICIAL][montana][11] LineageOS 18.1

For XT1799-2 you'll have to flash retail stock firmware (modem, bootloader, fsg, gpt, dsp), and it should work fine after that. If it doesn't a heads up (and a logcat, if you know how to take one) would be appreciated. This is a known issue, I'm not sure on how to fix it as of now.

Good to know then. LineageOS won't boot on a device running < 8.1 firmware.
  24. JarlPenguin

    Post [ROM][OFFICIAL][cedric][11] LineageOS 18.1

It depends on whether you boot the ROM before flashing Magisk. The recovery image itself isn't stored anywhere, and instead the diff with the boot image is stored in /vendor, and the system flashes the image created from applying the patch to the boot image.
  25. JarlPenguin

    Post [ROM][OFFICIAL][cedric][11] LineageOS 18.1

That is only if you don't install anything that modifies the boot image (Magisk, etc.)

Did you follow the instructions on the LineageOS wiki?
  27. JarlPenguin

    Post [ROM][OFFICIAL][cedric][11] LineageOS 18.1

Ideally you should use a 17.1 image - as for where you can find one, I don't know, since it's been some time since they've been deleted from LineageOS' website.

Unfortunately it's not possible to implement on customs. If you turn off the navigation bar you can customize the actions for long press.
  30. JarlPenguin

    Post [ROM][OFFICIAL][montana][11] LineageOS 18.1

That is intentional. There is no way to support both locking and unlocking via long pressing on the fingerprint sensor, because while the screen is on long press is already tied to launching the Google Assistant.

    Post [ROM][OFFICIAL][cedric][11] LineageOS 18.1

You can either use TheMuppets repo, or you should extract the files from a LineageOS zip instead of using ADB.

    Post [ROM][OFFICIAL][cedric][11] LineageOS 18.1

Once you have created a backup of an app you can use the Migrate Flasher app to "flash" it. Then you can use Migrate Helper to restore the app. I do not recommend using TWRP, and any issues that arise while using it will not be looked into.

    Post [ROM][OFFICIAL][cedric][11] LineageOS 18.1

OTA = Over-the-air update. You need to be on the latest version of the stock ROM before flashing LineageOS 18.1. And TWRP is not a supported recovery.

You are correct in assuming that restoration is available only after wiping the device. For regular backups Seedvault is enough IMO, but you could also look at something like Migrate.
  42. JarlPenguin

    Post [ROM][OFFICIAL][montana][11] LineageOS 18.1

You shouldn't flash bootloader and gpt because it'll try to downgrade the bootloader and partition table which will result in a hard brick that can only be fixed with a working blankflash.
