Thanks, but I think this is a different issue. The guidance that you reference is for how to disable the internal mic *while the external one keeps working*. In the case of myself and the OP, the external mic simply does not work, whatever we try.

I tried everything I could with my Owtosin branded FYT. Three different external mics, multiple software updates. No luck at all.

Same problem here. Flashed the whole recent Medeke update instead in the end and that enabled the microphone switch option.

One last question before I flash with Odin. Does it matter if I go from one CSC to another? Specifically, VOD Vodafone UK to generic UK? The phone is unlocked.

Re. PiP or side-by-side apps, a few discoveries from my investigations (also running Nova as launcher): PiP was disabled in my default config.txt for some reason! If you don't have PiP (small floating window for Google Maps) then check your file and flash a version with this enabled...

I don't think so - the widgets get installed with each from my experience. Then go to Settings, Car, Home to choose which launcher you want to use.

I tried a few apps to achieve this and settled on paying for Immersive Mode Manager in the end. Works really well with this ROM.
