This is a bug with the home screen launcher window. Waze (or any other navi app) will work perfectly if you do not set it as the launcher app.

Updating the MCU does not fix issues with missing canbus functions. It would need either.... Selecting a different vehicle make/model, updating the canbus, or using a different canbus completely. Updating the MCU is more likely to break something than it is to add missing canbus features.

How big is the dash cam or how small is the rear view mirror? Isn't there room for both with the GPS antenna offset to the side slightly? In my experience you won't get a reliable GPS signal by placing the antenna somewhere that doesn't have clear line of sight to the sky.

I get this issue when Waze is set as the mini screen app on the homepage. Try changing that to another app and try Waze again. It happens in every version of Waze so downgrading doesn't help.

It's inside the AllAppUpdate.bin from your backup. My canbus menu has also gone blank like yours (also a Navifly 116 model). Everything still works just the option to change vehicle for the Canbus is no longer there like in the image above. I'll try reverting this afternoon to see if it fixes it.
