Have not updated but apparently you have to run it in legacy mode. no idea what that means just from what I read, I'm still on whatever the update was before and have had zero issues with it. granted I'm still on android 10 so take that for what you will.

There's already a magisk module McLaren boot animation its supposed to restore the original McLaren one but it doesn't, but you can throw any bootanimation.zip and shutdownanimation.zip with rwrr permissions (and I would assume correct resolution) and it will stick.

Ok I'm sorry this is a little more complex than my 6T was I apologise I'm lost on restore userdata and pulling a new copy of the kernel (I'm assuming boot.img)

Secondary question I'm on .19 is there anyway I can update to .31 without wiping data? would I have to update to .27 for the new kernel first then .31?

I believe there's only one at the moment and that's bluspark it's a great kernel but I was having massive performance issues (mainly a lot of stutter and lag) so I wound up going back to stock kernel. If you want to give it a shot I'd suggest using EKM and backing up your current kernel in case...

Did you try installing a legacy version?

Then install viper through the APK on xda labs it will automatically create a magisk module with the driver installation. Or install the legacy version and see if that works you're not really missing anything with the update if I'm being honest.

It was the kernel, bluspark is a good kernel unfortunately it was just giving me issues.

Turns out I took a stock kernel backup through EKM before flashing bluspark I'll let you know if I still experience the lag or not

Bluspark has been giving me issues and evidently I didn't backup my original kernel. I don't know if kernels are update dependent but I'm still on .19

I looked around on here and couldn't find anything possibly on telegram it would seem that's where everybody is moving to.

The converter works I know it requires flashing the converter but I'm not sure on where you place the preset files so when you flash it it converts them it's been a while.
