Post New V60 for music listening set up and using help for a tech idiot

Yes, the V60 has excellent audio capabilities. You won't find much info on this forum, but I can help get you started. First, the phone has a very respectable built-in DAC. If you have (wired) low impedance headphones or earphones, you can listen to audio straight through the jack. However, you...

    Post LG V60 Android 12 arrived T-Mobile!

Yup, I got my OTA update this morning, too. I wasn't sure if we'd get it, being all too familiar with LG's updates (or lack thereof). I haven't had any issues yet but won't be surprised if there are a few niggles here or there.

Post LG V60 T-mobile magnetic car charging pad

Not syncing doesn't seem like much of an answer, and doesn't explain why it's not charging. Did you check the car forums?

Post LG V60 T-mobile magnetic car charging pad

In my experience, this phone is picky about chargers - both wired and Qi. I found a great holder & wireless charger similar to this one, then paired it with a high-power 12v adapter. Unfortunately, neither of these are available any more. But you should be able to find similar products that...

Post Keeping TMobile V60 screen unlocked while at home?

Yes, Google Smart Lock will do this. It does not work consistently, so you may need to go into it, disable your address (assuming you make it location-based) and re-enable it from time to time. You can also set Smart Lock to stay unlocked when paired to a device. It won't keep your phone...

    Post LG V60 volume limitation

Correct! Right, so Neutron has another setting (and it could be Android too, not sure), that starts the app automatically when you connect headphones. Or at least it offers to start, and you can easily accidentally tap it when it pops up. I wanted to bypass my tablet's volume when I connected...

    Post LG V60 volume limitation

Op is using a DAC. The limitation also exists played thru a NobSound DAC.

    Post LG V60 volume limitation

I'm using the Neutron Player app which has a 'use on-board device's volume control' option you could turn off & use your DAC. I did this to use my tablet with an iFi DSD nano and the next time I used the [stupid] USB C to 3.5mm dongle without the DAC, it nearly blasted my ears. So if you try it...

    Post [HOW-TO][CHICAGO] Ventra using SimplyTapp

For those of you still following this thread years later, Ventra (finally) paired up with Google Pay so you can use your phone to pay for transit via NFC again. The catch is once you set up your card in GPay, you can't use the physical card any more. https://www.ventrachicago.com/googlepay-faq/

Post Anyone having play store search bar crashing app?

During the first two weeks it was driving me mad. But now that my phone's mostly setup, I've learned to live with it.

Thread Lock screen notifications & shortcuts

Hi, I'm a bit late to the V60 party and am curious if others have the same two issues I'm having with the lock screen. The first is that my notification pop ups are tiny - like unreadable tiny. This is on the main display (not the front of the dual case). On my V30+ I could read the subject and...

Post LG V60 ThinkQ Dual screen problems?

I'm in the same boat, and used the same solution. I have a thin metal disc that mates with a magnet to use as a stand, mount the phone, etc. (IM Stick). Installing that disc at the very bottom of the case gave the USB C connector just what it needed to mate correctly. Bonus: No interference with...

    Post LG V30 vs S9/ +

Thanks for your reply. This is what I was thinking would be the advantage of the S9/S9+ - support. However I found a V30+ locally for at least $150 less than an S9+ can currently be obtained so I grabbed it. The Note 9 might be my next phone, but it depends on whether I can keep this one alive...

    Post LG V30 vs S9/ +

Pardon the thread resurrection, but I'm at this crossroads too now, having absolutely crushed my V30. I've been on this roller coaster ride of fringe phones since leaving Sammy (S4 -> Nexus 6 -> HTC 10 -> V30), and am thinking about getting back into the mainstream with the S9+. Right now I'm...

Post The things nobody tells you about this great phone.

That's peek - peeks your notifications. At least on other/older phones, the screen turns on when you get a notification and again when it senses motion. I understand the V30's display just stays on all the time. I guess I just get distracted easily...

Post The things nobody tells you about this great phone.

darned missing LED Do you use peek? I generally find it distracting, whereas the LED tells me what I was being notified about by color. Well at least I have a good reason to hold off on upgrading for a few more months now. In any case I'm grateful you mentioned it!

Post The things nobody tells you about this great phone.

no LED? Really no LED? This is going backwards in time, back to my N6 that had to be rooted to get the notification LED working. This actually might be a deal breaker, leaving me with my HTC 10 until something else with a decent DAC comes onto the market. :(

    Post SD card problems

more SD issues So has anyone definitively figured out what it is? I had a Patriot LX 128GB card in my 10, loaded with songs, podcasts, offline media for Spotify, Netflix and Amazon Prime video, photos & videos. It was corrupted after loading more music onto it on my Windows 10 machine via a...

+1 same here, it worked in the morning and by evening the app would not connect. i noticed when i tried to go to simplytapp.com from my phone the site has certificate errors. it loads right up from a desktop though. i wonder if an expired certificate is causing the problem. solving this is...

Thanks for the info. Well that's unfortunate. Guess i'll live with Tapp until Ventra gets their app working for this. It should be ready by... 2018 maybe? On a serious note, the press for this in the market might be pretty reduced, considering the iPeople won't be able to use NFC until Apple...
