Do you still have warranty on the s21u? Or do you mind spending some money on the new screen? I recommend the s22 ultra, it's a very good phone in my opinion, and also it has a nice camera. Wish I had that phone, it's so good :D

thanks for linking my recovery SM-J320YZ has Snapdragon 410 while SM-J320FN/F/G/M has Spreadtrum SC9830. The 2 aren't identical. For Spreadtrum SC9830 there's a very known reason why Android 8.0+ ROMs aren't possible: DIsplay drivers. They are missing, and there's no available sources for it.
