Glad to hear the reset worked! You should be fine to register at this point. However, if the Manage Amazon Apps automatic debloat tool was ran, you will need to manually restore the "Device Setup" app via the Manage Amazon Apps > Manual > Simple (Recommended) subtool. Yeah, the apps from the...

Dang, sorry to hear it came down to that. :( Like @blaacksheep mentioned, be very careful during setup, and do not give it your WiFi password until OTAs have been blocked again. If you want to be extra safe, turn off your router until OTAs have been blocked. Best of luck and hopefully a...

Yeah, kind of surprised they haven't fixed it to be honest. Perhaps they can't easily fix the bug without refactoring a bunch of code? I dunno...

Hmm, ok... let's troubleshoot further. Perhaps instead of clearing the cache, we need to clear the data instead. Please force-stop, and clear the DATA for the following apps: Google Play Store, Google Play services, Google Services Framework, Google Account Manager, Download Manager, and...

I suppose you could try a browser like Kiwi, and change the user agent string (using this extension) to trick the website into thinking your on a Windows desktop. Not 100% sure it would work, but perhaps its worth a try.

Yeah, the Netflix app the Toolbox downloads is probably outdated. It needs to be updated manually and I keep forgetting to do so. Please give me some time and ill be sure to check and see if there are any updates, and if so push them to download server. If outdated, an update could be what...

Greetings! You can manually disable the Device Monitoring Service by editing the Toolbox's Settings file. By default, the Settings file is located in the \bin\Settings folder (full path if installed via the installer: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Datastream\Fire Toolbox Vx.x\bin\Settings) for any Toolbox...

Greetings! That's actually a great question! Unfortunately, the Fire Tablets are not Play Protect Certified and according to Google, this means that: However, it's also important to know that upon running a SafetyNet attestation, it appears that the "CTS profile" check fails (due to the...

    Post [WINDOWS][TOOL]Fire Toolbox V30.2

Yeah, @Jumbo100 is entirely correct. Make sure to block OTAs asap. Amazon usually lets things slide for a while on new Android versions, but usually start to lock them down eventually. Always ensure OTAs are blocked and you should be good to go :)

Can't say if they'd come with FireOS 8.3.2.1, but if not, they can be upgraded to it. You are indeed correct in your assumptions that the Toolbox can work its magic on it, just like pre-7.3.2.2 firmware. :D

Greetings! Try force stopping, and clearing the cache for the Downloads and Download Manager app. Then force stop the 4 play services apps (Play store, Google play services, Google play services framework, and Account Manager). That should fix the download issue. Best of luck, and please let...

    Post [WINDOWS][TOOL]Fire Toolbox V30.2

I suppose you could update to FireOS 8 if you wanted to. You'd be able to block OTAs, disable Fire Launcher, and disable all system apps again. I see you have the firmware ready to go. Just copy it to the tablets internal storage, and in the Settings app navigate to Device Options > System...

    Post [WINDOWS][TOOL]Fire Toolbox V30.2

Yeah, I'd also guess the problem is due to the smart suspend feature. If that doesn't work, try assigning the tablets static IPs in your routers config. Apparently (this is just speculation), the tablets wait for the last second before their lease is up to request a new IP address from the...

    Post [WINDOWS][TOOL]Fire Toolbox V30.2

That's a great question, actually! Unfortunately, probably not right now. Rooting methods are hard to come by, and usually require shorting points on the motherboard... which could be the case with these tablets. However, I'm not aware of any such methods existing at the moment, though. :(

My bad, please see my previous post. Just updated it. :) But to answer the question... it just backups the main APK files. We could back up the app's data, but would be able to restore it without root. :(

    Post [WINDOWS][TOOL]Fire Toolbox V30.2

Great question, my friend! Be careful here, once updated to FireOS 8.3.1.3 you will not be able to go back to FireOS 7. Downgrading will result in the tablet being bricked. Hypothetically, let's say that it's possible. The backup solution the Toolbox uses would allow you to restore the...

    Post [WINDOWS][TOOL]Fire Toolbox V30.2

There isn't much we can do I'm afraid. Because it's a protected package, we'd need root in order to bypass it... which sadly isn't an option yet for most Fire tablets. :(

    Post [WINDOWS][TOOL]Fire Toolbox V30.2

Logging in shouldn't cause any issues. Just make sure you've disabled or restricted OTA Updates as registering might revert changes made via the Toolbox. Best of luck!

    Post [WINDOWS][TOOL]Fire Toolbox V30.2

As of 7.3.2.2, Fire Launcher can no longer be disabled. I had no idea that Fire Launcher wasn't a protected system app. Thought they would have applied the same restrictions to FireOS 8. Seems I was wrong. However, based on how things have happened in the past (this is just my opinion and I...

M Of course, no worries! All changes can be reversed via a factory reset. However, most of the tools in the Toolbox have options to revert changes made by that specific tool. The option is usually found in the Tool Options panel, which is located in the upper right hand corner of a tool...

Seems the shortcut function is causing issues. It shouldn't be recreating shortcuts every time the Toolbox is launched. Adding it to the to-do list for the next update. Thank you, @eigen for the report, and thank you @blaacksheep for the support! :D

    Post [WINDOWS][TOOL]Fire Toolbox V30.2

    Post [WINDOWS][TOOL]Fire Toolbox V30.2

Blocking the IPs at the router level should do the trick, or you could set up RethinkDNS using @blaacksheep's guide, which should cover all networks. The choice is up to you. :D Its true that HTTPS connections do encrypt the traffic, but that shouldn't prevent you from blocking them. (y)

    Post [WINDOWS][TOOL]Fire Toolbox V30.2

Most of the issues with firmware 7.3.2.2+ have been worked around. The only thing the Toolbox cant do with these firmwares is disabling apps. However, I'm afraid there may not be a solution to that without root, unfortunately. Yeah, Setup Tour needs a few updates to get it up to speed. Planning...

I believe Google Services offer a more "accurate" location reading, and most apps won't work without it enabled. It's also important to note that the Fire Tablets do not have built-in GPS chips and can only obtain location data via WiFi access points. As for the screen protectors, I can't...

Yeah, any app that uses the Miracast/Google Cast protocols (unless they're bundled with the app, like you mentioned) won't work on the Fire Tablets. We were able to launch the hidden "Cast screen" activity in the Settings app on a few of the tablets, but were unable to toggle on the Wireless...

According to the README for scrcpy, you can manually enable TCP/IP for wireless debugging: For step 3, if you're running a windows PC you'll need to add quotes before "ip" and after the last single quote, so it should look like this: adb shell "ip route | awk '{print $9}'" This ensures the...
