Unfortunately I don't think it's that simple. The new pixel tablet coming out will have hardware specific to allow this feature and a special dock to enable it. Personally I don't think it's worth trying to persue this.

I've tried this before and it would t work. I've seen the themes app is hidden but it will not open I receive the message it's not supported in your region. Changing the region doesn't help.

The only real solution with this tablet is to root it. Since I done that it's transformed the tablet and made miui enjoyable.

Using a 3rd party launcher on this tablet has as many disadvantages as advantages unfortunately. Including what you have mentioned, on a 3rd party launcher you don't have that bottom dock to drag and drop apps into split screen mode. You also can't long press an app to open it in floating window...

You can use a windows application called Payload Dumper GUI. It's very easy to use. You just have to unzip the recovery file then use the application and point it towards the payload file.

Following up on this. I downloaded the android 12 image for the mix fold and dumped the payload. Surprisingly there is no PC mode apk anywhere. It's also concerning that on the mix fold 2 they have scrapped pc mode and no included it. Perhaps it's discontinued which is a shame.
