good news, with Hal9k 5.1.1 (test release) GooglePhotos start working for me :-)

i have already installed "5.1.1 test" OTA and can confirm, now WebView update from Play don't crash, THANKS Hal9k ;-) also i found "Google Photos" stop crashing, not sure if Hal9k make some changes for it too, or it's related to now working latest WebView or latest Photos update, anyway finaly...

not know if applies for Vanku, but before "many" years i buy Dasaita V600 (MTCE) which came with Android 6 and (with vendor unsupported method) upgraded Android 6 => 8 => 9 => A10 ;-) (BTW: also switch coreboard with PX5 to coreboard with PX6...)

Not sure, i have A10... But you can try another root method as i write (in btw part) here If you not have update.zip for your actual system, you can grab actual boot with: dd if=/dev/block/by-name/boot of=/sdcard/boot.img

If you use adb over wifi then ofcourse is first need make adb connection to HU ip... Only when you use usb cable connection to HU is not need...

hi, i have same problem... on HA: MTCE PX6 with Android 10 (Hal9k 5.0.2, but i think same before with stock A10)... i try clean data/cache of Photos, try withhout or with enabled Backup Photos... when i try run non-default Photos activity via ActivityLauncher, then don't crash open...

same method work with Quactel EC25-EUX with PX6, stock (HCT4) and Hal9k V5, not know if before i make some wrong, but with Hal9k 5.0.2 also work (after install from GooglePlay app (Google)Messages) send and receive SMS messages via both Quactel modems...

maybe magisk backup boot.img have already twrp inside if you install twrp before magisk? anyway, if you flash stock boot.img, then step 6&7 is not applicable, because this need booted rooted system

step 3 restore boot image(what show you MagiskManager as output while you restore images??), but without reboot you have ofcourse still root, and you can't reboot if you want patch boot in other slot after ota via MagiskManager.... but i don't know reason why OTA failed :( anyway restoring...

@onehandyapps when you now active in devel OH, can you please look at "loading page progress bar", is not visible on me new phone, as is very little height, i remeber in halt year back beta you have "bug" where in progress bar is showed page title and with heigjt 0.5cm, that be ideal as option ;-)

1. NO - i with Magisk installed, receive OTA October (delayed) and November, and hope with december be same :-) not need wait for avaiable boot.img, because with "Boot TWRP & Flash MagiskZip" is patched onthefly "any" version of boot partition on device. 2. not sure, i not use LMSA :-)

Understand, but as i write, you must have installed Magisk via TWRP, with this method, Magisk make backup of boot image to "/data/magisk_backup_SomeRandomStrings/boot.img.gz", this file is used when you doing step 3, but if you only patch stock boot file, then ofcourse this backup is not...

I have same problem (stop working after lcd replace), try more solution, but at end i find one "working"... In Developer options enable QuckSettingsDeveloperTiles/SensorOff, this add Sensor tile to top pulldown QuckSettings menu, before call must you manually enable it, after call disable...
