Right so I just checked this on my own newly owned stock nougat rom h918 that was factory reset. Plugged into my PC and it is charging fine. That leaves your cables or PC. Are you sure it can charge other devices because it might have a power problem or maybe the ports themselves are clogged...

The frequencycheck one is correct. The F800 just has the bands used by South Koreas' only 3 operators, which is limited in comparison to other countries unfortunately. Which kinda sucks because the F800 is the only version with Android Pie!

yeah setting up one's phone is a big problem when flashing roms. There's no way around it that I know of. There is an app called Migrate if you need to start all over again. Re magnet: I'm very busy moving home at the mo, I promise I will look into it when I've got the time.

You're fine. There is no official Pie Rom for US996. Only F800 which is Korean version. That is why there are issues with my Pie debloated Rom on non-F800 variants. It's possible to get it to boot up on pie, but sooner or later it will crash, which makes it unusable. Plus data will never work on...

Everyone do not use Magisk 24, it's causing issues. Use 23, both the zip and app.

Just for now, make sure you are using K partitions and K ezv2020 kernel. I.e. not the L partitions. Rom is now based on K. You don't need to flash the boot.img, it is in the K partitions package already. The K kernel is here. Forget about mk2000 for now...

EDIT: Sorry I misunderstood. I heard that non-F800 is having crash issue, so I can't recommend to use it on non-F800 any longer sorry. It seems to be the modem issue so not sure if I can fix it. I had though your on F800 originally so ignore what I had said before this edit.
