Haha, I'm ready for that. I just have to avoid erasing data on my phone till the new year. Otherwise, I might have already tried flashing things. If you have the spare time then a 12 firmware package would be much appreciated for future experiments.

Hey @Doc Sniper, my device is running on kernel (4.19.113-popthecorn-v2.7) and the latest OOS12 update from which I extracted the firmware is running on kernel (4.19.157-perf+). Can both these kernels be compatible? I don't know about kernels but I do feel it's likely that OnePlus itself build...

No, no custom ROM does at this point. OnePlus released Jio 5G compatibility update for Nord in late November (AC2001_11.F.16 and AC2001_11.F.17) and it hasn't been implemented by any Custom ROM yet. I have extracted the modem.img and other related packages from the new update but haven't...

There are new OSS updates released for Nord lately. It brings 5G compatibility. AC2001_11.F.16 AC2001_11.F.17 I've downloaded the full update file (AC2001_11.F.17). Is it possible to extract something from that and flash it, hopefully without breaking anything?

I had this issue. A latest version of the Platform Tools fixed it for me. You can get it from here. Try using this, it should work.

Try a different recovery. Faced the same error with this provided recovery. But Pixel Experience Recovery worked for me.
