The h918 had two versions, 10p was the firmware where LG changed it breaking previous ones. Once the h918 goes above 10p, there is no going back. Some users were hesitant about going to the 10p version, so I provided pre-10p. Official Lineage only has the 10p and its assert (required)...

I need to update the unofficial for September, so I can try it on that version. But I'll need it tested before to ensure its ok before going into official.

Hard to catch.. But plug in usb when you have 15.1. get an adb root shell. Accept your computer fingerprint too. Then upgrade to 16.0... during the boot see post 3 to catch a logcat and dmesg. Keep that running.. Then you can retrieve it from TWRP. Once large difference though from 15.1 vs...

I've never been able to replicate the sensor issue. In open to doing this if it helps users and also can help so others do not need to run permissive. I look forward to hearing how this works. It's similar to the last comment in: https://review.lineageos.org/#/c/272639

I believe it was working in 14.1, and since 15.1 it has not been. It can send 1 command via IR (serial port), but then hangs for about 2 minutes, and times out, then it will work 1 more again...etc. I'm pretty sure it's part of the serial port area...

Most likely never. LG does some proprietary stuff, so until someone can figure that out most likely never, this includes volte too. Then again, LG doesn't update stock anymore, so it depends what is not important to each person.

Were you able to try the suggestion to verify that will fix the issue? Until I have confirmed verifications I won't be able to merge anything as I do not want it breaking more. Not really, it's all the G5/G6/V20 devices, and the US/Non-US varients. You'll have to disable them.

Yes, codec issue possibly. See post 3 for logs. You need to start log capture via adb, then once running you can unplug. I'd suggest doing it before charging overnight. Even a battery pull will keep the logs in /cache.

It is actually an easy test you can try yourself... https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_device_lge_g3-common/+/266823/2/system_prop.mk Basically, add this line to the /system/build.prop debug.stagefright.ccodec=0

I'm going to guess that won't be the case once builds are fixed. You are still using my private dev keys, not the official keys, so once that updates it could fail and hang on boot with mismatch keys. (Pretty much what is happening now to the official.)
