I noticed in 8.0.1+ versions the TegraOTA.apk is moved to /vendor/priv-app/TegraOTA. I am not able to rename this file in this new location even with root or adb. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Such is the way with updating and rooting Samsung phones.

You will have to install the updates using Odin. This will require you to root again.

Flashing new firmware does not wipe the phone. The process of rooting it again requires you to wipe.

Unfortunately this requires the kernel to be modified and recompiled. We would need someone who knows how to do this.

In case anyone else experiences this problem, I solved this by going into bootloader and running 'fastboot format userdata' command.

This TWRP version does not work on the latest BQHB (Nougat) firmware.

I restored TA partition after rooting but now the phone will not boot. It displays an error about failing verification and will not boot properly. How to get around this?
