Post General [CLOSED] AOSP support -- working AOSP12 built from source.

@96carboard I think I have an idea as to why your build fails to flash. Flashing your build reboots the pixel to fastboot, while flashing mine reboots the pixel to fastbootd. I think you need to provide all of the .txt and .json files along with the .img files to get a flashable file set.

Post General [CLOSED] AOSP support -- working AOSP12 built from source.

@96carboard have you noticed any issues with using the fingerprint sensor on your AOSP builds? I tried flashing your build, but for some reason my version of fastboot (the most recent version) gets stuck after rebooting the device into fastboot. Odd considering this doesn't happen with my...

I'm sorry, what do you mean by "the phenomenon of sliding out frames"? and are you saying that you observe phenomenon on this lineageos build, or other ones?

I have yet to observe any stuttering, but I can't promise it doesn't exist. In what situations do you see it happen, and using what rom?

Thread Development [ROM][UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 18.1 with microG, Android Auto (plus instructions to build your own image)

LineageOS is a long standing android custom rom, derrived from AOSP with contributions from the community. By default, no google apps or frameworks are built into the rom. microG is an open source, lightweight replacement for the proprietary google apps and frameworks. Maybe most importantly...

Post Themes / Apps / Mods Google Camera for the OnePlus 9

Just tried Arnova8G2 on Lineageos 18.1, but it would never open and eventually crashes. Instead I am using the Wichaya build with default config, which works quite well.

Post [MOD] Multidisabler fork *keeps data encryption*: disables Vaultkeeper, auto-flash of stock recovery, proca, wsm, cass,

    >Although I am pretty sure if any hacker knew what they were doing regardless, if they had root and/or TWRP then they could surely steal your data if they really wanted to encryped or not lol. This is just my opinion though.. Definitely, simply unlocking the bootloader opens you up to plenty of...

Post [Pie/10/11] [System-as-root] Multidisabler: disables encryption, Vaultkeeper, auto-flash of stock recovery, proca, wsm, cass, etc.

FYI to @gorthon and others like me that wanted to keep encryption on their data (FBE) enabled despite its drawbacks when using TWRP: I forked the multidisabler and removed the part that disables FBE...

Likely not, I believe the s20 FE is quite a bit different. I could be wrong though, I'm not that familiar with the fe.

opened an issue on the git repo to track fixing tap to wake, likely just a missing config line. What gcam apk did you test/did you need anything special to get it working?

Sorry, I'll put the model in the main post when I'm back on my computer. -I have only tested this on SM-G981U1 but it should work on any snapdragon s20/s20 5g - I don't have any 5g towers nearby, will try to hunt some down this week and update. - encryption is fully functional, this was one of...

Thread [MOD] Multidisabler fork *keeps data encryption*: disables Vaultkeeper, auto-flash of stock recovery, proca, wsm, cass,

Since many custom recoveries (twrp) don't usually support mounting an encrypted data partition, the original Multidisabler disables file based encryption (https://source.android.com/security/encryption/file-based) which results in an unencrypted data partition. While many find this useful, and...

Update After three days of use the camera apps still crashes. Strangely enough, it was alright for the first and most of the second and now randomly crashes on open about 30% of the time. Not sure if this was actually due to something I installed or if I just got lucky for the first couple...
