HBO and other apps are not using the DRM that Netflix is using. Should work with HD :)

So when I watch movies or tv shows on HBO GO - the quality is pretty bad - sure it's not more than 480p. Not even close to HD or Full HD. The CW app - streaming latest episodes - same thing. Nothing close to HD. Only in YouTube or an app where you can force the quality to 720p or 1080p like...

You can't watch Netflix or Hulu and some other services in more than 480p :)

No one gets updates every 2 weeks. My phone is unlocked and for the year and 4 months I have the phone I got 4 or 5 updates. It's bad in the update side. But this is not the case right now, it's ridiculous because we didn't get even 7.1, now if we don't get Oreo Huawei will be the biggest piece...

Bulgarian support center just told me that Oreo may be only for the chinese market. No promise for coming to our country (Europe). Which is weird... :)

Personally I don't find it the same as Portrait Mode on other phones. Especially with objects it's ridiculosly bad. About the two cameras I guess there is a way to make them work together and give great results. But even if they add it only for the one camera I would be really happy. It's not...

Don't know about you but what we have "selective focus" or whatever they call it is a complete trash 99% of the time. We have 2 cameras and they can make great photos. They are perfect for Portrait mode but there is no one to add it I guess. They added Live photos - Another thing half baked...

Today I asked our Customer service support if the phone is getting it. Their answer is - NO. Explanation: "We are focusing on our newer models. Thank you for choosing Huawei". Please blast them everywhere. Customers who pay for Flagships deserve better!

Yeah with Swiftkey they are separate - male and female (not laying under a single emoji). Really strange why one Gboard bundles them like this. Not a big deal but makes it a little confusing. P.S: The strangest thing is only some of them are like this, see Santa - Male and female both emojis...

Actually there is a difference. I am using HBO GO and the quality is bad compared to a phone that suports the HD streaming or my Laptop which is with a lot bigger screen... Still a flagship phone not supporting such a simple and needed thing is ridiculous. :)

This one is ridiculous. Google Widevine Modular DRM on our phones is L3 - which means HD videos are not supported on this services! Guess it works with HBO GO the same way cause the quality is nothing to HD to be honest. You can check it youself with this app . Security level L3 - no HD. Needs...

Custom roms are complete trash for this phone. So many bugs and half baked stuff. If you care about camera, battery - never put a custom rom. Root why? What do you want to do? I don't see a point of rooting nowadays. Just hard reset it if it's lagging. Will make it like new. And it's that simple. :)

If it has a warranty send it to your carrer or Huawei to take a look. This is not normal. :)

Great work man, thank you once again! Had a problem with the previous on some apps they used to change the buttons to emojis, now it's working the way it should! :))) Now if you can get the iOS 11.1 official emojis with the new things like wizard and mermaid will be nice. :)

But for the app they doesn't say which phones can install it to wait for beta... It was released for the Mate 9 :)
