Post Note 4 - Canadian Thread

Actually, you are factually incorrect - the reason Lollipop is taking so long for the Note 4 is because the kernel needs additional tweaking and enhancements in order for it to be compatible with Samsung's VR, which nobody has even heard about or used.

Post Note 4 - Canadian Thread

I always use only Kijiji when dealing with phones for the simple reason that all my transactions take place in person. I've bought probably six or seven phones on Kijiji and sold just as many and never have had a problem. I've never bought a device on Ebay for the simple reason that yeah...

Also, of note, a lot of people ask if they will be able to update their device OTA after following the root procedure. Right after I successfully acquired root with MSkip's toolkit, I checked the status of my device and it showed "CUSTOM." This is to be expected. Checked for an update and got...

Confirmed working on the Bell Canada version of the SM-N910W8 Note 4. Only issue of note was the fact that on first boot after flashing customer recovery, the stock recovery reinstalled itself. Simple matter of following the easy-to-use instructions with the toolkit. As soon as the flash is...

So I picked up another brand new Mega today and there is the update waiting for me to install it. What can I do to help get this figured out? I'm not too keen on taking the OTA update since I already bricked one device. If there's any way I can contribute to getting this fixed for everybody...

I'm desperately hoping that someone, somewhere can provide a stock firmware for the Bell SGH-I527M that includes knox. Maybe someone from sammobile is reading this and can post it there. I took the OTA update a week ago, then rooted the phone and flashed CWM recovery on it, no problem at all...

    Post {Z}[DEVELOPMENT] - CM11 - Android 4.4 - FreeXperia Project

This is all my own fault. I should have done a little more research into this phone before just blindly trading it straight across for my Galaxy S3. It's a great phone, but not being able to flash custom ROMs is not sitting well. I'll be looking to unload this as soon as I can. Sent from my...

LOCKED Bootloader I'm hoping someone can clarify a couple of things for me - a. Can this be done on a device with a locked bootloader? According to my test mode settings, my bootloader is NOT unlockable. b. First you have to flash the boot.img from CM10 and then flash the CM11 zip from...

I haven't been able to find a version of CWM that doesn't do this for this phone. All I've been doing is just renaming the backup once it's complete, usually just to something like CM10_BACKUP_NOV16 or STOCK_BACKUP_NOV16. Can be renamed from your phone's file manager.

Yeah, what Task said! Thanks, dude. I looked at it as a problem that needed fixing - but I guess if that's what it's supposed to be doing then it's not a problem at all. For some reason, I never see my data type drop from 4G.

Post Stupid Questions Thread- No Question too stupid! I promise!

God only knows when AT&T are releasing JB - sometime "in the coming months," whatever that means. Personally, I would go ahead and root it and put on a custom ROM, either CM10 or Task650's AOKP. These are both JB. My understanding is that once you are rooted, no more stock OTA updates for you...

Post Where did these photos come from?

I think it has something to do with wi-fi direct. It won't be in "accounts" as it shouldn't be syncing with your phone, it's just showing you that directory is available for browsing.

Post Where did these photos come from?

Someone has their sharing turned on on a PC wherever you are. If you turn wi-fi off, you probably won't see them anymore, but as long as you are on wi-fi and connected to that network, you will probably continue to see that photo library until whoever manages that PC turns sharing off.
