Screenshots never show hardware issues (i.e dead pixels, red screen issue, etc), as they are generated by software. You should take a shot of your screen with an external camera instead a screenshot.

I have faced that too with the weather widget. It's solved with a backup with TB. Do the backup from a rom in which Nova Launcher displays the widget, then uninstall weather apk from the rom that doesn't and restart. It works. Let TB for a while restoring, it seems that it doesn't do anything...
