for building a custom rom, of of aosp source, do you just pick a nexus device or what? i have the vendor blobs and everything, not the device tree yet, but i dont know which i use to start the build. i would like to learn just not sure where to start. i have some experience with linux as well...

I think it would generally affect the bands and the language but im not entirely sure. What region are you thinking about putting on it?

OK, i know that most roms have the static on boot problem, which in itself isnt a big deal. But, i have found that the werewolf kernel doesnt have that issue. could someone help me find out why that kernel doesnt have that problem so we may fix other kernels? the kernel ends up freezing my UI...
