Deep sleep issue by default, M rom disables Deep Sleep if you have tripped knox (by Chainfire root or other stuff). You need to flash an additional zip to re-enable Deep sleep.

This is what I did: I put Xcal in with F1 i9000 rom as I thought it'd solve my home button [I didn't know that I could just flash home button fix] then I factory reset to flash darky and that's it. It's still lagging but a bit less now.

I'm currently on XCal kernel now. The YouTube search button has magically disappeared but the lag is still there. I flashed darky when I was on Xcal with an I9000rom so I guest my flashing method is right.

I visited the link you have in the previous post hence why I asked if that 'quick' method for I9000 would still be fine as long as I flashed the home button fix afterward. If no other suggestion is made, I'll try the 'proper' method later.
