Actually at the point where it gets stuck u just switch off the USB debugging mode and then turn it on again and it gets the job done... anyways u r done with it so cheers to that!

I also used superoneclick to root my Gingwebread 2.3.3 V20c... just make sure u follow the instructions properly... at the point where it stalls, u just need to switch off debugging mode, then u will get a couple of more lines... then switch on debugging mode again and it gets rooted... ofcourse...

u can install the custom recovery by http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146566 courtesy of doktornotor and root with superoneclick as mentioned abv... i did the same way for my stock 2.3.3 and it worked lik a charm! :)

i have a rooted stock 2.3.3 V20c... will the themes work for me??? Sorry for the Q! just read that it can only be used with custom roms... pls ignore this! thank u! is there anyway of deleting posts here??? so tat i can take back the silly questions i post!

Ofcourse thats possible! i hav the exact same thing in fact. Official GB 2.3.3 V20C, rooted with super one click, flashed cwm recovery, threw out all the crapware (if u r referin to useless apps)! ---> is this is what u meant!

Excuse me... but here is wat all i hav done to my phone! Unrooted my phone 2.2.2 with gingerbreak, installed custom recovery clock work mod, then i deleted all the those useless apps from LG, then i flashed caverman kernel for the lag fix! so doin all this, if i want to return to how my phone...

all seem ok... but here is the order i did it in! 1.root using gingerbreak 2.Instal custom recovery with ROM manager, cmw recovery installed 3.Put the kernel in sd card, flash from recovery! Job done! happy Flashing!

Well the main reason for the so many views and yet very few posts is cos newbies like myself are in awe of ur scores and ashamed of our hehe!!! Quadrant score is somewhere in mid 200 Linpack 7.1 Running a rooted stock 2.2.2 with a der_caveman Kernel! :D

I am running Stock 2.2.2, I just rooted my phone with gingerbreak, then i installed rom manager, clicked the flash clockwork recovery thing, when my phone rebooted its showing the following in a black screen Fastboot mode started Udc_start() suspend then i connected the phone to my computer...

Thats an awesome idea up there... all the brainy guys can do the work and provide us the backups and the not-so-brainy ones like myself can simply use tat! Wud make the whole process a lotttt more easier!
