Exactly. Project Svelte is what I was referring to. So we should see some better performance than with Jelly Bean.

Post Android 4.4.x Kit Kat Discussion Thread

Man, you guys are getting upset over nothing. Check out this Reddit post. It sums up everything pretty much perfectly. Those are some very legitimate concerns for updates. The Nexus 4 has a more popular processor in it, by a company that is quite heavily invested in the mobile market, so I...

Post Android 4.4 is here and will work well in our devices too.

But I think that this time it will mean better. Because this version has been made to run on lower end devices, devices with less RAM and processing power. If Dev's are trying to create the perfect 4.x.x ROM for the P500: this very well might be it. I think we'll have to wait before judging...

Not all that much though, percentage wise. The Galaxy S III is now around $300, and it cost over $600 when it came out. A one hundred dollar drop is to be expected I think.

Post The great battery impression thread

I was in no way insulting their hard work. This version of Android has been out for less than two weeks, so neither of them (Kernel or ROM) are going to be very refined yet, and battery life probably takes a hit.

Post The great battery impression thread

You're using a very unstable ROM with a Kernel that is probably not very optimized yet, and you're wondering why your battery life sucks? Yeah, it's a real mystery.

Post Anyone have a torrent for the new factory image?

Thanks, that's what I'll do. My connection seems to be stable again. Ha, they don't care. I'm also capped at 40GB of usage a month. It's 512Kbps download speed, too. It all around sucks. And there's no competition unless you want dial-up. From my ISP's website: "Get speeds so fast that even...

Post Anyone have a torrent for the new factory image?

The internet connection just isn't stable, and the factory image is quite large. I've tried a few times and the connection gets dropped, and then I have to start all over again. With Torrents I can dropped connections all day long and it can still resume. I think what I'll probably do is flash...

Post Should I get a Nexus 10 or a Transformer Infinity?

I would definitely just wait. The Transformer has some pretty bad problems with performance due to poor I/O speed. So, if you were going to get one right now, I would get the Nexus 10.

Post Sleep for 24 hrs used 6% battery, normal ??

Yes, it's normal. And besides, if you're not using the screen at all and have all wireless services turned off; why don't you just turn it off and lose 0% battery?
  15. L

Post Sleep for 24 hrs used 6% battery, normal ??

24 sleeping. He also had airplane mode turned on. So he wasn't using the phone at all (No screen time), and no wireless signals whatsoever. That's why it's so good, but normal for that kind of usage.

Hey, it's a huge step in the right direction. It's what all of us have wanted for quite some time now, and then it comes out and you call it "junk" or "fake Nexus". These phones are what everyone was asking for. And by the way, even if Google isn't handling the OTA's, they should still get...

Post [Q] After erasing the recovery with fastboot my LG p350 don't start

If you're being distracted by notifications couldn't you just turn Airplane mode on? Or, as others have said, you could just install Slimbean and add nothing but a couple reading apps. And then remove EVERY other app on that ROM. Then you pretty much have what you want.

Love the ROM so far. It's been pretty smooth all day without any freezes or reboots. Just one thing, is there any way to turn off the screen lock animation? Not that I think it's ugly, I just like things to be very minimalistic aesthetically . I looked all over settings and couldn't find it...
