Try reflashing hboot. That helped me. I am s-off and used the stock hboot for Desire on http://alpharev.nl The wiped, realigned ext3, reflashed ROM and it worked!

This is exactly what coolexe means. The browser will (upon downloading) create the download folder on your SD Card. So, don't think you need to reboot. :D

See earlier post: after flashing the ROM, you can just try wiping the SD-ext part (through the recovery menu option)... In my case that failed and let me know the ext-part was corrupted. Reflashed the Ext alignment zip (see first post by cool) and then rebooted. and that worked ;-)

Problem is also for s-off users (I am one). But as said. Do check if your sd-ext gets corrupted AFTER flashing Cool Z (or a kernel that you flash after that). Fixing the ext-partition in that case and reboot. Worked for me ;-)

This surely is a battery issue. Did not realize my battery was almost dead. Think all others may have had the same isse while not knowing it. In the end, if you fiddle around changing names, etc. Your phone might be charged meanwhile, fixing the same battery while not knowing that was actually...
