Post [GUIDE] Firmwares, ROMs, CWM, Root - Acer Iconia (MTK) Tablets

Thanks so much, f3n3K! One more tiny question: I rooted my first color Nook (the first one where the whole screen was color), back in the day, and haven't done any rooting since. Is there a threat that explains how to use Kingroot? ;) Thanks again!

Post [GUIDE] Firmwares, ROMs, CWM, Root - Acer Iconia (MTK) Tablets

One more here, with the same problem. Acer has ridiculous system-ware that is almost impossible to disable. Their pre-loaded stuff wants permission to own all information you ever use on your tablet. The system doctor app is a nuisance that cannot be shut off, and over at the acer forums, the...

Post [Q] Netflix Problems on CM10; running off SD card

Thanks so much. I found it and downloaded it. What exactly do I DO with the apk? Put it in my boot sector and boot into recovery?

Help me install it? Anything I can do with it? All I know how to do is flash nightlies on my SD card.

Thread [Q] Netflix Problems on CM10; running off SD card

Howdy, I really did search the forums, so I'm sorry if the answer is out there and I couldn't find it. I'm running CM 10 from an SD card on my Nook Color. My Android version is now 4.1.2, with Cyanogen Mod Version of 10-20121220-NIGHTLY-encore (the latest nightly. I had one from 12-12 before...

Post [Q] Connecting to PC with CM7 -- no communication

Thanks Dizzy. It was just the cord. I reloaded CM7 (i.e. put the sd card back in) and all my computers recognize it again, and I get the USB/debug notification on the NC again. As computerist diagnosed, I must have broken the internal data carrying cables without hurting the power connections...

Post [Q] Connecting to PC with CM7 -- no communication

Thanks, I took it to a B&N store. I removed the SD card because I felt like a boot legger -- but anyway, they tried a new cable and it worked with Stock, so it WAS the cable. Thanks!

    Post Themes

Not sure what your aim is with themes. I fooled around with that for a while, and found nothing that really did anything. Wanting to customize, I downloaded a nifty free app called "Wallpapers HD" from the google play store. Now I have a nice background that I really like. Then I customized my...

Post [Q] Connecting to PC with CM7 -- no communication

To clarify: debugging, and debugging notification are ON, but when I plug in, there is NO notification. However, like you, the fact that the stock ROM won't connect either makes me wonder. An SD card root like I've done wouldn't mess with the stock ROM on the emmc, would it? Would it change...

Post [Q] Connecting to PC with CM7 -- no communication

Hmmm. I had it on already, but no notification pops up when I plug into the computer via usb. I also have the "debugging notify" option selected. I did think I had it on, since it *used* to work. ON the PC I get a "USB device not recognized" message. ON the NC itself, I get no message at all...

Thread [Q] Connecting to PC with CM7 -- no communication

Hey y'all, appreciate the help in advance. I have been running CM7 on an SD card for the Nook Color. I like it, and haven't had many problems at all. However, one thing that has been buggy is connecting to a PC. At first, I could connect sometimes, and see both the internal device memory and...

Thread [Q] CM7 Music Playback Problems

I apologize if this question has come up elsewhere. I spent about 45min searching these forums and couldn't find it. Not saying I'm special, just not smart enough to find the answer if it is out there. I downloaded a couple free music players to try. No matter which one I use (including the one...

Post [USER][TIPS]Nook Color User Tips for CM7/CM9/CM10/CM10.1 From LeapinLar

Thanks for your many posts all over the forum. I am a noob, and you've helped. I had a question about your post here. I see you did this in April. Do newer builds of CM9 automatically fix the naming problem with the nightlies? As far as I know, I downloaded a January version, and then added...

    Post ANDROIS ICS User Manual?

Here's where I got my original CM9 android.sphsolutions.net/Encore/Nightlies/Misc/ The "generic 1.3" creates a larger boot sector to accommodate the larger cm9 nightlies. Since the first post, I left that one on my larger, faster card (class 6, 16GB), and tried Racks' Dual boot. Cm9 seems to...

    Post ANDROIS ICS User Manual?

Yes, I've seen the the thread. I would still have to wipe what I have so far, and I like the version of CM9 I've already got -- believe it came from someone called "Samian" or something like that. One final question. For a single-boot SD OS, anyone have thoughts on the best CM7 to run with?

    Post ANDROIS ICS User Manual?

Yes, I've seen those threads -- maybe I can add some new info. I went with a SanDisk class 6 16GB. I didn't see the class-rating discussions until too late. There are some who also recommend staying 8GB. However, with CM9, I've had no trouble using the class 6, 16GB. Maybe I just got lucky, or...

    Post ANDROIS ICS User Manual?

Thanks Guys, I appreciate it. Two follow up questions: I am running ICS/CM9. Only been at it a day or so, but so far, no real problems. The screen might be *slightly* less responsive than the NC system, but it's not clunky -- maybe just a little slower, a little more prone to having to tap some...

    Thread ANDROIS ICS User Manual?

All right so this may be strange but... I had no problem creating a bootable SD card for the Nook Color. Wanting the latest and greatest, I went for CM9. I got Samian's larger CM9 image file so I could use the cm9 nightlies, which are too big for the boot partition of CM7 build. Anyway, it all...
