I did a clean flash but I have the 2gb version, so that might be the reason why we are having different experiences. I just went back to 2.1 and now it runs very smoothly, very noticeable difference. I hope the future versions will have the same level of performance on my device.

The latest version has the bug too yes. I don't restore old data to keep the installation as clean as possible. RAM does not seem to be an issue because the 2.1 version runs smoothly.

I did format data too, where you have to type "yes" to validate. I basically tried every wipe option, first factory reset then format data because I was still having problems.

Before installing for the first time I did a factory reset, formatted everything so nothing was left in the internal storage.

I installed radon kernel and my fingerprint (FPC) is working as it should. I pretty much did everything like you, except I ended up flashing the CM13 firmware in hopes of resolving the front camera issue (which made no difference, of course...).

Which version of twrp did you flash ? Is your front camera working ? Mine Isn't and I cant figure out why. I officially unlocked the bootloader, installed the latest official twrp, latest cm13 nightly, firmware and gaps.

I've tried completely resetting the phone, erasing everything (format data) and installing several different roms doing a clean installation for each one of them, and the issue remains.

This might be another, less serious problem, because the phones that have the issue I described can't detect any sim you put into them.

I can give you my personal experience : coming from CM12, battery life seems significantly better with Cloudy.

After using CM12 for a few months, I finally installed cloudy and I'm very happy. I couldn't stand the annoying bugs of CM anymore (mainly the screen which doesn't respond at random times) and it's nice to have all the native features of the G3 (nice camera, knock code...).

I'm using the one from the playstore so I guess it's the regular version. I was on CM12 18/01 before, and I didn't have that problem. It appeared after I flashed the latest nightly.
