Negative. I previously had kernel 1.2.0 installed and camera was working fine. I did not wipe or flash anything in between going from 1.2.0 to 5.0.1. Edit: I just flashed 1.2.0 to make sure. Camera works fine again.

No camera Just flashed 5.0.1 on LOS 16, US996. Seems good so far except camera doesn't work. Tried 3 different camera apps but they all just crash.

Edit: never mind, apparently 3.7 was detecting legit corruption which 3.6 wasn't seeing. Put the card in a windows laptop and it didn't see anything wrong either, but a scan-and-repair fixed it and now it's mounting fine on android. Sorry for the confusion and thanks for all your work...

Agree with other who have already posted; running 3.5 on d852, much worse battery life, random freezing. Trying to check into battery life issue I realised that most of the custom kernel governors are missing, as are the alternate hotplugs. Was this intentional? Either way, I'm rolling back...

After a year I'm still getting between 10 and 14 hours of SOT depending on usage. I think you just got a bad battery. Either that or something is wrong with the phone.

Yep, with Odin. And I tried all the usual steps. Made sure the port was USB2, installed a 32 bit version of windows, tried different ports, etc. At this point I think either I need the 8013 pit file, or the MMC might be completely screwed.

Nope. I have the same problem as them. Boots into Odin, but Odin won't flash anything. Keeps coming back saying the PIT partition is missing. I couldn't find an 8013 PIT file so out of desperation I gave it an 8010 PIT. That didn't work either - Odin just hangs without doing anything...

I can confirm there's no issue with the kernel anyway. I had the "Unofficial Pac Man 4.3" rom installed and didn't feel like wiping, so I flashed just the new kernel. Runs great - smooth as hell, and the new frequency seems stable. Also the voltage control is perfect now. Thanks again humberos!

This is massively overstating the issue. It's true that undervolting may in some cases cause a greater amount of non-catastrophic errors, but enough errors to significantly impact CPU utilization certainly wouldn't result in anything resembling stability. It depends massively on your usage...

oh, I know that, but the whole point of voltage control is that you can tune it to your own device. you SHOULD be able to keep lowering it until it fails. having a "safe" minimum only makes sense if you're trying to protect noobs from themselves.

Just take out the shortcut to the Camera app and replace it with "Focal". I didn't even realize albinoman had included it with this build, but I've been playing around with it over the last 24 hours and it has some awesome features. Way better than the stock camera app.

I'd go with something more lightweight. If you really just want to give her the best battery life possible, though, just pick a rom with voltage tuning enabled, undervolt it, and underclock it. If all she does is text, you can probably underclock by 30% or more, and she won't know the difference.

I'm using CM 10.2 - it's in the forums under "AOSP 4.3 [KANG]". Runs fantastic. No issues with sound. Best experience I've had on this phone so far. Apparently there are some camera glitches with it, but otherwise it's perfect.
