The main. Wide angle still works flawlessly - as does the front.

    Post Camera Focus issue

Same issue here. Seemed to occur after the initial nougat update. Sprint variant. Nothing I do seems to fix it. Read elsewhere, that it is highly probable this could be a mass hardware defect. No confirmation OR denial from LG though.

Sprint G5 here. Have had it since this weekend. Works great. Looks great. Completely happy with it.

Post Build quality issues: is it exaggerated?

I definitely think that the build issues are exaggerated. I have the ls992 variant. Not a single problem. The above poster is correct in saying that people are more likely to post something negative than positive. That goes for just about anything. If a Dr prescribes you a new medication, and...

Post So G5 owners with a handset older than 4 weeks.

Have had it since it rolled out. Not a single problem or issue. So impressed with it, in fact, that I recommended it to the wife and my parents when it was time for them to renew/upgrade. So now we all have g5's. Didn't recommend it to my in laws because..... They are my in laws. And because...

Post Can i root if so how?

One has to realize that the developers who courageously "get root" for us do so on their own time. Not only that, on their own dime as well. In the trial and error process of unlocking the bootloader the risk of nuking their devices is high (and quite a few developers have nuked this model and...

Post Anyone jump from LG G5 to LG V20

I don't really feel the need to. Using android devices since eclair - and the G5 really hits the "sweet spot" as far as hardware/performance is concerned. I don't even mind that root hasn't been achieved for the variant I own. There really isn't anything with v20 that to me, warrants upgrading...

    Post Recent apps menu blank?

Interesting. I still get the sneaking suspicion that it is possibly caused by a "ram management" type of app. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk

    Post Recent apps menu blank?

Never heard of this issue. Without being cheeky on purpose - it may be just you. If you run any "ram management" apps that periodically "flush" your ram, it may lead to such behavior. Even LG's "smart clean" app that comes pre-installed may cause this. do you have any such apps installed? If so...

    Post G4 all over again

I've rooted every phone I've ever owned. I expect to do the same with the G5. However, I'm patient. Things take time. Denouncing an entire company because a group of VOLUNTEER developers (who owe you, me or anyone else absolutely nothing) aren't working fast enough to your liking... Is...

    Post Enable Adoptable Storage

It shouldn't. I just liked the idea of creating a separate SD partition strictly to use for photos. So that's why I did the 60/40. Sent from my LGLS992 using Tapatalk

    Post Enable Adoptable Storage

Bentzille1, I'd say it's "unofficially official". I have the Sprint variant (ls992). Went to worst buy and picked up a 64gb microsd for 20 bucks. Utilized modaco's instructions to 60/40 the card (60% to adoptable, 40% as external SD card). Worked flawlessly. No errors, etc. Sent from my...

Post LG is selling official g3 batteries for $15 a piece

Sweeeeeeeeeet! Since upgrading to the G5, I just flashed a MM rom to the G3, and gave it to the wife. Kept thinking while getting the G3 ready for the wife "if only LG would put the batteries on sale, then it would be like she was getting a brand new phone". And here we are! Weird how...

Post Lifeproof case for the g5

Got mine at worstbuy the same day I upgraded to the G5. I'm usually dubious of screen protector/all in one type cases. Plus, I have giant fingers, so that was a concern also. I can happily report that so far I have not run into any issues with this case. Notification drawer slides down with...

Post Wifi in cafe needs login - Tasker?

Well, there is *sort* of a way around it, but not very convenient for cafes/etc. I am currently staying at a hotel that has said portal to access the WiFi network. What I have done is connected to said WiFi network with my laptop, then utilized "connectify" to re-transmit that authorized WiFi to...
