So I got the "no internet connection" error a few times. It seems it does this when the path to the rom isn't working (or it simply can't find the rom at that location). So I tried one of the other ones and got B360 to download. It installed fine. I receonnected to HiSuite, then HiSuite found...

I can't be the only person thinking this. Is there a case out there yet for the G3 that replicates the the rear of the G4 with the leather and stitching? I would imagine there's a lucrative market of G3 owners looking for a cheap 'upgrade' to the G4 look. Anyone seen anything that might fit...

Double check the rom file you are using is the right one for your phone's model number. I got the same error message and was pulling my hair out. Until I realised I was trying to install a D802 rom on a D855 phone. :silly:

Cool - thanks. Edit: After some driver issues I got there in the end. I realised the OPEN Rom is for a different model number, so went with the three network rom. One of the three roms listed is for three Italy, but the other has worked just fine.

Thanks for that. Will have a crack at it today and report back. So it's true to say that I could put any of those kdz files on the G3? Assuming of course they are suitable for my model number D855?

I have a question about this. I'm on the three network. Is there anything stopping me from using the "UK OPEN" rom from this guide? I'm assuming the "open" rom would be cleaner than the three rom?

I am a UK LG G3 owner on the three network. Is there any reason why I can't flash the "UK OPEN" version of the ROM on my phone as listed on the "Firmware Files" link in the first post of this thread? I'm assuming "UK OPEN" would be cleaner than the "Three UK" version?
