I flashed firmware (stable) in May, before that I used to flash weekly (beta) without wipe. Never got any error so not sure why you are getting it.

Only baseband version matters which has been the same for a while both on stable as well as beta miui ROMs. You can flash 10.2.2 and check for yourself, BTW firmware can be flashed anytime.

Baseband version is correct, it the latest one. Did you try changing preferred network type to LTE or the very 1st option under Mobile network / advanced setting.
