Yes, exactly as you can now in the Navigation Settings with the Move Interval (sec) slider, but a separate option for the Up / Down buttons on the remote.
Effectively, Up / Down would be able to do the same as Left / Right during Navigation, but each with their own settins of the Move Interval.
[Feature request] Add extra Video Skip Forward / Backwards by User Defined Amount
http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/mx-player/feature-request-add-video-skip-forward-t3305484
Hi,
I use MX Player on the NVidia Shield TV on its official remote which has very few buttons.
As the Remote has its own Volume Slider, could an option be added to the Controls Options and the Key up/down action to allow skipping a video forward or backwards by a set amount, the the amount the...
Assuming you are on stock 5.1.1, then the battery life is pretty poor....
Mine will only last 48 hours max on standby as it repeatedly wakes up, albeit with the screen off...
I have tried to disable anything I can to stop it waking up, but no good....
KitKat was far better in terms of staying...
Assuming the Office App advertises itself to open those type of files, you should be able to open them from any file manager (I use Total Commander) and you should be prompted with a list of programs capable of opening that type of file, then choose your office program....
Anyone using the meenova with a GEL / TPU case on their device ?
I dislike Folio style cases so just equip my tablet with a GEL case for the back and screen protector for the front, so there is added bulk around the USB port....
The Charging cable is unaffected so I would hope the meenova will...
Theres a plugin that works with the file manager Total Commander here that will read and write USB fine without needing root.
I use it myself....
USB Stick
You could try the touchscreen drivers found here:

Most users seem to get a difference, including myself although with mine, the issue was when my Nexus was at an angle in a stand.... Left 25% or so of the screen was very hit and miss...
If you can download to a PC, why not install Bluestacks on it which will give you an Android emulator. You can then sideload Google Play and install the files on the PC and copy them to the Nexus from there....
Thats all in theory mind you as whilst I have used Bluestacks,. it was only to grab...
Seems to work fine here, running CleanROM 2.6
Downloaded it ages ago after playing it for a bit on my Motorola Xoom but hadn't yet fired it up on the N7....
Skipped most of the movies and was playing the introductory level when I quit.....
Reading the Candy Shop threads, the way the battery is drawn has changed under 4.4 so the traditional methods of doing a battery mod no longer work....
As per the above though, Gravity Box will do that for you.....
Should the new Touchscreen files survive installation of the 4.4.1 Bootloader and a Custom ROM ?
I've been running CleanROM 1.7 with ts-10 for a while and not noticed any touchscreen issues....
I updated to CleamROM 2.5 today, flashing the new Bootloader first, with the same version of TWRP I...
Helium backups will just be made to your internal storage (Unless you have the premium version) and these will NOT survive a wipe when unlocking the bootloader.
Connect up your Nexus to a PC and copy the Helium files to it for safekeeping... Or if that fails and you have an FTP Server program...
Good to hear - I have it currently installed on a Nexus 7 as well as parents IPad so I now have choices although needing to unroot is a pain in the arse....
Quickpic uses it too....
That's the only other thing I have installed that uses it.... Need to check out Badland again as I did downloaded on release but haven't had much time to play it yet....
Use the one from the CandyShop thread here:
Candyshop
As quoted on the first post:
Here's Is a Zip to use to Update edify with. It works on stock rooted 4.3. And also USE THIS ZIP IF ON CLEAN ROM...Have tested my self multiple times
Worked fine for me to add a Battery Circle to the status bar :D
tbh, I didn't think I had multi-touch problems.
What I did have was a pretty much dead area on the left of the screen when the Tablet was in a stand and not charging....
The first 3 keys in each row on the keyboard only registered about 20% of key presses in the stand...
Touch the tablet with...
Ok, no problems - Not a deal breaker by any means, just a nice to have.....
Will investigate those a bit more. On first glance, it looks like Gravity Box is capable of lots more and I only want those simple things, although I expect I end up using more and more features.
Cheers all....
Clear All Apps / Softkey Longpress supported ?
Just installed after finally Unlocking and Rooting the N7.
My only other flashing knowledge came from a Xoom which I bought about a year ago and so there was only a choice of 2 or 3 ROM's at the time so the choice for the N7 is overwhelming ...
Most of this is so far over my head I can't see it, but here's a UK Wingray output from EOS 3 155.

Any Nexus 7 owners (2012 or 2013) tried the MultiROM mod to maintain a stock, non-rooted ROM for apps like Sky Go ?
I'm assuming Sky is looking for the presence of the su binary or superuser.apk (or it's variants) so if there is a custom kernal and custom recovery (required for MultiROM), it...
Quick question....
With this mod, would I be able to maintain a stock, non-rooted Primary or Secondary Rom and then install one (or more) rooted ROM's ?
I have an app that won't work on a rooted device which I want to keep and from others that have tried (albeit not on a Nexus 7), the...
Personally, I use Widgetsoid, as I like to have various toggles in my dock. Plenty of alternatives, both free and paid, that will do this.
I've had Widgetsoid for 3 years or more on various devices so didn't feel any need to change.....
Will only answer Q1....
Stock can recognise a USB Stick as mine does just fine. However, I did need an app to do this and chose USB Stick Plugin-TC, which is an add-on to Total Commander which is my File Manager of choice.
Plugin was 50p (UK) and allows read / write of FAT drives plus reading...
WooHoo - Works here too.....
For some reason, my Desktop never recognised an MTP connection, only PTP. Laptop was fine so I had to use that if wanting to connect.
Just done the above and MTP now fires up too....
Many thanks !!!!!
Yep, works fine on the Xoom... I used BlueStacks on my PC to download the official APK from Google Play and then copied it to the Xoom for sideloading....
If memory serves, v1.1.2 requires a graphics hack to get it working.
Effectively, there are a set of 4 Android files in a directory called...
Have you tried another File Manager to see what that reports ?
I'm still running the last EOS 3 nightly, but show what I imagine is accurate data in Settings / Storage and using both Titanium BackUp and Total Commander (my File Explorer of choice)....
Settings Storage reports Total Space of...
Gave it a go, but cannot download the particular app I wanted to try, which was the EA Swiss Sarl version of Real Racing 3 (this one)....
The version of Chrome installed was 25.0.1364.172 m
I had a couple of abortive tries first as I thought the Device ID was the Android ID that I can get from...
Incompatible Apps ?
Would this Extension allow downloading of apps that currently show as incompatible with my devices ?
I am assuming not as it required your Play Account credentials....
I don't actually use Chrome atm, otherwise I would install the Extension and try it out :D
FYI, I had...
Yes and Yes is the simple answer......
Best thing is to have a search on here and maybe Google and you should find some guides on how to do it.... The guide I followed (but don't remember where I found it) wasn't specifically written for a UK Xoom, but worked absolutely fine.....
The UK Xoom...
I had something similar a while back and in my case, the apps that would not restore with TB were in the data/app-asec directory, as opposed to data/app....
app-asec was introduced in Jellybean (I think) and is where a lot of paid apps may now reside. It's an anti-piracy measure I think and...
I would assume if its got 4.1.2 it was GEDified, which would have meant unlocking the bootloader to install the US images which then allows you to get updates from Google....
The old owner *may* have relocked the bootloader after doing this mind you - I never bothered when I did mine....
tbh...
Sounds like that file is ONLY a backup of Titanium itself and not all of your apps.... My last backup of all apps through TB into a single zip was 1.1gigs.... And to be honest, I don't have *that* many apps - Only about 60 at most I would think.....
Can't help with Icons I am afraid as I only have the WiFi version.
For the Settings crash, that is very weird... under EOS 3, my settings / storage screen was solid from memory. It was the actual unmounting that led to errors.
For info, on Nightly 155, this is the same. I can access...
For deep sleep, as mentioned in the other thread where you asked the same question, EOS 3 deep sleeps fine on my Xoom (I've since moved to the latest nightly). I would recommend installing a monitor app (Better Battery Stats) and see if it tells you which app(s) are causing the wakelocks...
My Xoom slept just fine when I has EOS 3 on it....
Have you tried one of the Battery monitoring apps, such as Better Battery Stats to check what is going on and see what app(s) are causing a wakelock ?
If some of the apps were paid ones, and your TB prefs are to restore to the same location as the backup was taken from, you may have fallen foul of the data/app-asec issue....
Google has started to save programs into data/app-asec instead of Data/app and I found that TB could not restore a...
Yep, works just fine... If you are used to EOS2, there is no pop-up message in the status bar saying a USB Drive is mounted and giving you a quick link to storage settings to unmount, but USB Drives work fine for me.
I have not tried with a mouse / keyboard so cannot comment on that though....
Its still on Goo albeit the URL is a little differnt:
http://goo.im/devs/teameos/roms/eos2/releases/wingray/Eos-wingray-2.0.0.zip
And now I've just seen Post 1085 above as well :D
For the paid apps, if they were installed in the Data/app-asec directory, I think Titanium may struggle to restore these to that directory...
Check your TB prefs and if you are restoring to the location the backup was taken from, try changing this to Internal and trying again....
I had the...
Figured this one out, so thought I'd post incase anyone else sees the same behaviour...
When checking the apps that Titanium would not restore, I noticed they were all in the data/app-asec directory.
This got me thinking as I recalled a post in the Wingray nightlies forum about app crases when...
Flashed this from Stocked Rooted JB (previously used EOS 2 on ICS) and had a couple of issues. Any ideas on these ?
1 - When inserting a USB Stick, should there be a notification in the Status Bar ala EOS 2.0 and an Icon sitting there which when clicked takes you to Settings / Storage ? I did...
Just a thought..... Xooms sold in the UK do not have a JB update yet, so I would assume the Xoom may already have had its bootlaoder unlocked to convert it to a GED device and as part of that a custom revoery (like ClockworkMod) installed.
Is it worth trying to reboot into recovery to find out...
I have had issues with the Stock Browser on certain sites (cannot remember which ones mind you).
The two issues had been the download button doing nothing or the download starts and stops almost immediately.
My solution was to use Opera Mobile which, so far, has worked with every site.
