Do you guys think the M8 GPE or any similar variant will ever see Marshmallow? I'm just afraid HTC will just drop the support for it or something because they have an excellent track record of doing that and leave us without an update.

Where can I find the 4/23 build, or any build that will work fine after upgrading to the 5.1 firmware? I know when the 5.1 update was initially pushed there was some steps where some file formatting had to be done before flashing the ROM, if not it wouldn't work right...and I'd rather not do that.

Considering the new 3/19 update, is it "safe" to flash now? I don't plan on using any special mods or anything, I prefer stock but I don't mind using Elite kernel if necessary. krazie1

Just to confirm, I get a GPS lock by getting one on a Sense ROM, then wipe and do a clean install of this ROM, right? The GPS can be so inconvenient if not done correctly.

Yeah, it was stuck on the boot screen. I'm on Verizon, and did in fact choose the stock kernel. I was looking for a more vanilla approach with the kernel. I'll try selecting another option.

I have a question regarding recovery flashing because I am unable to flash any updated recoveries at all. I currently use TWRP and have been using Flashify for quite some to update anything. However, whenever I go to update TWRP by hitting the "download TWRP" option, I always get the error that...

Is there a reason why this keeps coming up whenever I try to update TWRP with Flashify? This NEVER happened before. I'm not really sure what's causing the problem; I'm using the latest ROM version and all my file managers can read my SD card fine. And I have rebooted the device before.

I've been running the 11/16/14 build smoothly for a while now, no problems and perfectly satisfied - when I flash this new 5.0.1 update, which option do I select in the aroma installer if I just want to dirty flash? "Update only" or "install without wiping"?

Update: Running a clean flash of 11/16 with the firmware mod (done by the hboot method) as well as the lag fix zip and for now everything seems to be working 100 percent. Thank you.

The 11/16 build is working okay for me, a bit heavy on the battery and the WiFi is a tiny bit wonky but everything else is golden. I was coming from the 11/14 build. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
