Has anyone tried turning off HDR? I've been reading the forums on reddit and by turning off HDR, the quality of the photos, according to the users, increased tenfold. So, that's definitely something to try.

    Post Google Camera and HDR+

So this question really irked me, in a good way of course. Whilst studying for my history exam, I was thinking that HDR+ is essentially software based. The Pixel's camera's specs are kinda mediocre aside from the 1.55um sensor—only f2.0 aperture and no OIS; the best part about the camera is...

Which variant do you have? (R800x, R800i, R800a) or (Verizon, International, or AT&T). If you have the Verizon variant, I recommend either my ROM, Gin2Blur which is already pretty barebones with some added functionality and aesthetics, or you can use the Cola ROM.

Post [N910VVRU2CPD1] Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow for Verizon Note 4 N910V is finally here!

Samsung didn't put it in. If I'm not mistaken, this update should be nearly identical to the Sprint Update. Although I haven't updated yet in case they screwed us over like with Lollipop 5.0.1.

    Thread 5.1.1 Battery issues

So recently I had updated to 5.1.1 but the battery hasn't really improved as it had for others. Actually, it has gotten slightly worse. I used to get around a 17 hour day with 3 hour SOT. Now at 17 hours, it's at around 1.5 to 1 hour(s) of SOT. I am using the battery saver, so the CPU's power...

Post What happened to the 5.1.1 update?

I'm not 100% sure, but basically this phones probably never going to be rooted. The only reason to ever hold off on an update is to see what others have to say about the new update. I didnt do this with lollipop and now i'm in that predicament.

Post Samsung SM-N910V Galaxy Note 4 Verizon is Rooted

Well according to him, the most recent update, OG5, is rootable, so in all technicalities, it wouldn't matter which firmware you have. However, if you're looking for stability, go with KitKat 4.4.4, otherwise Lollipop 5.0.1 with root should be just as good with root.

Post Im stuck in a dilemna

Personally, I love the Nexus 7. It's perfect size and runs smoothly through everyday tasks, even faster than the Note 4 (for obvious reasons). And when it stops being supported, one could easily run the simply Cyanogenmod Installer for easy and continous updates for a little while longer.
