I will admit back in the day, when I had the original Moto X, I paid for a similar service. "China Middleman" is what we called him. Sent him the MEID of the phone along with payment and he would send the bootloader unlock code. To my surprise, it did actually work. I do, however, have my doubts...

The link isn't loading for me for whatever reason, but if this is the method that requires adding an action to Nova Launcher, this works wonderful. And for those of you like me that are thinking "but I don't like Nova Launcher", once it is changed you can uninstall Nova and your DPI settings...

Excellent advice, but I will say that it's easier to just download the sdk and throw in the mfastboot file then add to your path.

Interesting... Anyone else having problems getting WIFI to turn on? Going to reflash everything again to make sure, but WIFI definitely won't turn on. EDIT: Scratch that. I forgot to flash boot.img :p

Here's my question, I have an unlocked xt1060(NOT dev edition). So If I were to flash the full FXZ, my BL will stay unlocked correct? Then I will be able to fast boot a recovery and so on?

Because M releases are from the stable code and nightlies aren't part of the "stable" code. They are in the nightly code and need to be merged into the stable. Most likely there was a fix for something that was still in the nightly or "testing" stage.

So after data and mms is working again, is there anything else NOT working?

If you don't want to wait for a ROM, flash santod's stock odex ROM and then fastboot flash stock recovery. Take the updates, then fastboot flash custom recovery and install supersu zip in recovery. You'll be on 4.4.2 goodness with root. Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk

I am S-Off with custom recovery. Flashed the stock-odexed ROM from santod, downloaded first update, pulled from /cache, removed assert lines from updater script. Sideload flashed in CWM without a hitch. Doing the same with the 2nd update now. EDIT: Had to flash stock recovery to flash second...
