Hi lads can anyone help, i rooted a stick for one of my friends and he has updated magisk via the app (partly my fault as i never told him not to)! But now I can't seem to get the bootrom-step.sh to communicate with his stick to reflash twrp, is there anyway to unbrick this stick or is it game...

Cant we use dirty cow and change the /system of a combination firmware as dm-verity check is disabled by default, then some how engineer a way to flash the bootloader that would accept a modded twrp recovery or similar..?

No bud, the phone wont boot a normal firmware as the certificate is screwed and imei 0000000000, but it will boot with combination firmware, all i need to do is gain root and disable 'frp lock' via z3x box or another method and car repair the phone... Im not fussed about the warranty being void...

This sounds very interesting, i have a damaged g935f with dm-verty faied and frp lock so there is no way to use this device unless i flash with no-verity firmware but cant as frp stops me flashing root, hopefully you can use this exploit with the factory combination firmware to replace the boot...

would this work on specific firmware, for example a combination firmware (factory binary on samsung) then install a custom recovery from there...?

Yes this firmware has a bug in it when switching to a 4g network, i have found a work arround if you take the framework-res.apk from moonbreakers latest rom 11.0 and replace the stock one located in /system/framework/ then reboot and wipe cache and dalvik, all should work again :)

Would it be possible to create an open source banking app to give the correct user agent and format the pages, just like the barclays app does with the option to remember the password? Eg a modified browser or something, then they can throw all the protection they like at their silly app :p
