BINGO!! So not sure what part actually did it, but I installed the latest SDK, moved the files there, reran the set-active=a and then ran the flash-all file and I am booted up into the setup screen now Thanks a ton!! :)

This might not be the case anymore, but I know over the years my phones would do that too, and I want to say the reason is because there was different signal strengths between data signal and voice signal. However, I want to say that as of 4G LTE, that it no longer works that way.

the only issue I have been having with 1.3.7 is I set up the "smart lock" feature to keep my phone unlocked based on a few GPS coordinates, and I am noticing that it only seems to work maybe half of the time, almost as if my GPS isnt updating enough.

once you activate the hotspot, via settings --> more --> tethering & mobile hotspot --> the second option should be a slider to turn on/off mobile hotspot. Turn it on, then the menu below for mobile hotspot settings should no longer be grayed out, then choose configure mobile hotspot.

ok, so after trying to get temp root like 100 times, and finally got one to take, I paid, sucessfully unlocked bootloader, rebooted, noticed I lost root, retemp rooted, installed flashify, installed TWRP, rebooted, loaded back up, tried to delete kingroot, but appears it wasnt list as uninstall...

Update: Clearing system cache and kingroot cache did allow king root to think its rooted.. but yet any root checker fails still Cadenmiller60, you arent on SU4TL-44, in display/ID so thats where we differ

Clearing system cache where? I have never done that outside of recovery Nevermind, I found it can be done within the stock recovery, something I have never used. Only recovery I have used was like CWM
