As long as you flash the multi-CSC for France there should be no issues.

I am based in the USA, using the international S10+ on T-Mobile. I bought it from Clove Technology in the UK (very good service). It was for the same price as the USA model at the time (pre-order time-frame). My phone was delivered in NY the same day the phone was publicly released in the USA.

I have the international version and find that I have been getting software/firmware updates much sooner than they come through the US carriers.

I might be wrong, but I believe the "patching after root" refers to the instance where a vendor (e.g. Samsung) removes a vulnerability that was used as a basis for rooting the device, thus requiring developers to find another method. This is possible, but I don't know if it's happened recently.

I'm certainly not complaining... I have the international Exynos S10+ (sourced from the UK) using on T-Mobile US and it's working good thus far. Just waiting patiently for when there's possibility to root it to do even more with the device.

Agreed! Another valuable reason for having the option to root is "freedom" - e.g. you don't have to rely on the phone/OS provider to store all your private data on their backup repository (however incomplete the data they store might be) and hold you ransom because they have what you need, and...

Let me clarify... The feature is working fine, only the result doesn't appear to be as expected. For example, in the attached screenshot the font is supposed to be thin-italic, but it does not appear to be so. Note also the malformed number 7 in the clock time. My system font is Roboto. -Paul

Thanks for the ROM! I installed the latest PD ROM, based exactly on the instructions in the OP. While it installed with no errors, the initial system reboot hangs at the boot screen - just before the boot animation would appear. Only after I flashed the vendor image did it proceed to reboot...

I did the fastboot flashing unlock and have been using the P2XL unlocked for a couple of weeks, including Nov update sideloaded. In order to use the procedure in OP to Root, will I have to do fastboot flashing unlock_critical, which will wipe the phone (factory reset)? -Paul

I am not aware of anyone who was able to root the P9+ with that version of TWRP and SuperSu, but I could be wrong.

You should re-read this thread and follow the links or hints provided. Google search for the files, so that you can find the most up to date versions. If that fails, follow the instructions in this P9 forum thread...

Issue Resolved! Big thank you to ezio84 for the suggestion to remove layers. I had a multi-component layer called Flat Material installed. I uninstalled only the System UI component and rebooted. That action restored the advanced power menu. Now I'm a happy camper again. Thanks.
