Post Root Samsung SM-A305F with TWRP?

Always Wipe Data after Magisk-patched Bootloader? Doesn't this method of rooting the A30 require that you must wipe data after the modified boot image is flashed? Is there a way to re-root after installing a ROM update without destroying the user data? PPS

In Odin, if you use the HOME_CSC*** you will retain your apps and data. I updated using XEF (France), byt today I notice that the UK (BTU) firmware with April 1 security update was released on April 28. link: https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s10-plus/SM-G975F/

Post Is it worth buying the international version of the s10 plus

I am based in the USA, using the international S10+ on T-Mobile. I bought it from Clove Technology in the UK (very good service). It was for the same price as the USA model at the time (pre-order time-frame). My phone was delivered in NY the same day the phone was publicly released in the USA.

I have the international version and find that I have been getting software/firmware updates much sooner than they come through the US carriers.

    Post Root solution???

Because there are other reasons to root than custom ROMs.
  9. C

    Post Root solution???

Well, when I rooted my P2XL for over a year, I did not use a custom ROM at all. I just installed the stock ROM every month to realize the security updates, then reapply root and custom recovery.

    Post Root solution???

I might be wrong, but I believe the "patching after root" refers to the instance where a vendor (e.g. Samsung) removes a vulnerability that was used as a basis for rooting the device, thus requiring developers to find another method. This is possible, but I don't know if it's happened recently.
  11. C

    Post Root solution???

That was my point. This clown doesn't know how to "backup" what he's arguing about.

    Post Root solution???

VinDiesel69 said, "Android 4.0+ have a built in full backup that requires to adb. You can restore your backup using titanium backup without being rooted." Genuine question: Can you please explain how to do this?
  14. C

    Post Root solution???

I'm certainly not complaining... I have the international Exynos S10+ (sourced from the UK) using on T-Mobile US and it's working good thus far. Just waiting patiently for when there's possibility to root it to do even more with the device.
  15. C

    Post Root solution???

Agreed! Another valuable reason for having the option to root is "freedom" - e.g. you don't have to rely on the phone/OS provider to store all your private data on their backup repository (however incomplete the data they store might be) and hold you ransom because they have what you need, and...

Native Edge Lighting is disabled on my phone and I made the suggested changes, but still can't get AOE to work as a reminder for unanswered notifications . Apart from that, all other settings or functions of the app seems to work as expected.

Post App:Always on Edge. Using notch cutout for notifications.

Thanks! The only setting I have differently is "double top to close" instead of "swipe up to close". Otherwise, I have been using these exact settings :). Post App:Always on Edge. Using notch cutout for notifications.

The Reminder Notification Option Has anyone successfully gotten the reminder option to work? When used, this is supposed to repeat the notification lighting for a brief period, if a notification had been unanswered for a period of time (30 or 60 seconds - I think). However, I could not get...

Post App:Always on Edge. Using notch cutout for notifications.

It's a start... Come on! This app might not be right for you, but the developer should at least be given some credit/thanks for the effort taken to solve a problem, for which several users are seeking a not really forthcoming solution from Samsung. You "want an app...", but the developer...

Let me clarify... The feature is working fine, only the result doesn't appear to be as expected. For example, in the attached screenshot the font is supposed to be thin-italic, but it does not appear to be so. Note also the malformed number 7 in the clock time. My system font is Roboto. -Paul
