    Post Android 11 - Pixel 2xl review!

Came from a stock rooted 10 with only TWRP and Magisk installed, was starting to notice some hiccups and slow downs in usage. Decided to clean install which I hadn't done in a while to hopefully regain some performance as well as storage. Phone feels smooth again, haven't noticed any loss of...

I get the same error on 115.2 but not after I downgrade. On a Pixel 2 XL, Anroid 9 rooted with Magisk. Pogo is hidden with Magisk hide. No custom recovery or kernel. Do have a system joystick app I haven't tried uninstalling yet. On current non-beta play services.

Thread OTA with Magisk? Root even necessary?

Finally pulled the trigger on a Panda Pixel 2 XL. Wanted to let some of the manufacturing issues get resolved, plus couldn't justify that kind of cash when my 6P was working just fine (replaced battery). However, it appears I've suffered a hardware malfunction in the 6P and the only way to...

Post Nexus 6P randomly shutting down under 50% - You're not alone!

Plus, it's the most accurate way to gauge battery capacity and health. Rather than doing a 90% charge and extrapolating from that how much a 100% charge would be, it's impossible to make an error when actually doing a 100% recharge. Accubattery says that staying between 20-80% charge is best...

Wow, this might the most informative and helpful response I've ever gotten on xda. I was most apprehensive about just getting the replacement approved, the restoring to stock part I assumed would have to happen. And while annoying to do, wasn't too difficult. However, the more I thought about...

Damn, I just found that option. I'm not sure why when I looked before I didn't find the chat option. I've been on the phone with so many different companies lately that I didn't feel like spending another hour pushing back and forth with a support rep. to hopefully get a replacment and then go...

Is that the support chat built right into the OS settings or on their site somewhere? I only ask because I'm on a ROM currently that doesn't have the chat support in the OS settings.

Guys (and gals), looking for some advice. I'm being struck with the same overheating and phone powering down around 30%. I purchased the 6P on Feb. 28th, 2016, so I'm literally 2 weeks out of warranty. I was running stock for a while, then went to the preview program. When the latest update...

The US developer edition got the OTA about 3 weeks ago along with new firmware. This firmware is compatible with all US M8s, but I'm not certain it works with cdma devices (vzw/sprint). Since it's meant to work with multiple carriers, the firmware contains extra content not specifically for...

I was incorrect in my first statement, the modded camera will not work on stock. It has to be used on a deodexed custom rom. I tried to use it on Fenny's deodexed/prerooted ROM in this forum but it wouldn't work. I guess it was too close to stock. Asked in the camera mod's thread why it...

I would advise against it. I ran ARHD up to version 8.1 on the 1.57 T-Mobile firmware just fine. But I'm not going to flash FW designed for different hardware just to run a leaked and most likely incomplete version of android 4.4.3. I'd advise to wait for T-Mobile to release their official...

Post Anyone use the camera mod?

Haha, I didn't actually know this until I opened up the pan360 camera to see if I got the same error. I was just moving my phone around when it seemed to 'lock on' and the rectangle started turning red. So I learned something new today too.

Post Anyone use the camera mod?

What you are seeing is intentional, that's how the panoramic camera works. It wants you to line up the center of the shot on that rectangle and then you'll see the rectangle start to fill up red. Then you move onto the next shot and it auto captures for you.

Yeah, I think I'm going to hold out for the next official release, whether that is 4.4.3 or 4.4.4. Too much confusion right now with different firmware and not knowing if something doesn't work is a rom issue or a fault in the 4.4.3 test build.

In regards to this rom... not much. But it does give you complete control over a device you own, rather than being stuck as a guest on your own phone. Mods will work such as the HK mod or the hboot that removes the red/tampered text. Think of it like having administrative access to your PC.

I had the same issue and I believe it's because the Samsung Gnex drivers are still on your computer. Use Wugfresh's Nexus Root Toolkit to completely uninstall all drivers related to the Gnex, restart, and then plugin the M8. Windows will most likely install all the necessary drivers automatically.
