For me updating bootloops it like 50% of time, sometimes i have to reflash gapps, sometimes lygisk does not survive, sometimes it just works. There is absolutely no chance to guess. So if it bootloops after an update, high chance you just have to reflash gapps and it boots.

Hmm last builds didn't fix it for me, though maybe I should do a clean flash someday. Will try something out

Afaik yes, maybe, but I never really tried. I just switch my screen off and on which makes it dissappear temporarily.

Last OTA update (friday May 27) triggered the Android rescue party trigger in TWRP after having a bootloop. This resulted in me having to wipe data and reflash everything. Anyone else having this same issue?

No it isn't, according to my wattage meter it was 28-30W combined with the 5800mA reported by accubattery it's as simple as 29W / 5.8A = 5V
