The Nvidia controls were added to the old modded remote play app by Twisited89. Just have to wait for them to add them back or find away to make the onscreen controls to work until they are added naively.

You shouldn't need to forward ports unless you have crazy security on your router and or modem. You're double NATing if you have a router behind a modem and the modem is not in bridge mode (some modems have router features; if your does not you don't have to worry. Your not double NATing)...
