Sure, it's a real pain. The small workaround - wait a minute (two) and only after that try to enter the code.

It works and with odexed roms too but don't forget to delete /system/framework/android.policy.odex and clear the dalvik cache! PS. Thanks! Actually It isn't a huge problem (especially for developers and advanced users) - I don't care about OTA updates, because they kill root and could at anytime restore the original firmware for the warranty cases.

Imho, It's smooth, some lags gone away, and it seems that's more battery friendly than the previous kernels.
