by default windows 8.1 called the NP a FUGU and said no drivers found , go to device manager , select " let me choose driver ", then select "ADB TESTING INTERFACE" , now you can talk to it . or just go get chain-fires drivers,

if windows does not see it in any way ( nothing coming up in "devices" ) , assume you have a bad cable , bad port , or a security block . ( or worse case, a defective usb port on your NP )
