    Post [UNLOCK][ROOT][TWRP][UNBRICK] Fire HD 8 2018 (karnak) amonet-3

Great work, but you should probably put a warning in the first post to not update Magisk from Magisk Manager (found out the hard way)... As suggested, going into fastboot and running "sudo ./brick.sh" fixed it. Thanks again for all the great work.

Hi, i have a rooted fire HD8 2016, there is no TWRP for it. So i downloaded root version of youtube-vanced.apk and copied it to /system/app and fixed permissions on it. Is there anything more i need to do for manual install of rooted version? The problem is every time i open it, it...

Post How to enable more LTE bands ( works with band 4 1700)

Just an FYI, I don't think band 12 can be enabled on the ATT H950. I tried this on the stock 5.0.1 rom and I could not enable band 12, loaded the 5.1.1 PR build and still can't enable band 12.

Sorry guys, I got rid of my fireTV box, (still have a couple fireTV sticks, but can't do much with those). I ended up getting a zotac zbox which makes things alot simpler for what i want to do (except no android games). If someone wants to take over the script, create a new thread and i can...

Post [Kernel] Stock Overclocked to 1890MHz and init.d support - Testing only

I had the same issue trying to overclock which made overclocking performance worse than stock. You can try to adjust the throttle temps, but if it gets too hot it will just reboot. The heatsink is big, but there is zero airflow.

    Post ROM | KERNEL | Infamous Note4 | COD6 | Apr 27, 2015 | Stock

Just loaded this rom, and way to many things broke (camera/calc) I mised out on some good pics tonight. Should put what's broken in the change log or notes. Seems like it would be a good rom if all the issues were fixed.

Post [Kernel] Stock Overclocked to 1890MHz and init.d support - Testing only

Any tutorial for building a kernel should work, just use a NDK with 4.6 GCC, and grab the current kernel config from the running kernel on the fireTV (/proc/config.gz i think).

Post [Kernel] Stock Overclocked to 1890MHz and init.d support - Testing only

Yes it should work. It will not find the initd script to call but it should not complain. The thing is, I've messed with the overclock quite a bit and the performance improvements are very minimal due to thermal throttling. The higher you go the more it throttles and at some point you...

based on Stock kernel amazon 514006420 sources with just the following 2 features added: Overclocked to 1890MHz init.d support (place files in /etc/init.d/ folder) Since there is no known way to get into recovery with a bad kernel (yet), therefore it flashes only to the recovery partition...

Post CWM Flashable: Mount external USB storage to /data and /sdcard

Probably, There was someone else that tried while they were using stickmout and link2sd and they had issues. If you use v3 make sure the usb drive is plugged in when you flash the zip.

It will perform the same then, probably not worth trying again. I'm suprised it was slow, i'm using a usb 2.0 stick and i can barely notice the difference. How much slower was it than normal?

Post CWM Flashable: Mount external USB storage to /data and /sdcard

Make sure you have the drive plugged in when you flash the zip, because that is when it grabs the UUID of the drive. And if you do a factory reset then make sure you erase everything off the usb stick as well. It just added 16GB of extra space with my drive.

That was a good idea with the uuid. The init.bueller.sh is the first init script to run. I'm suprised you were able to umount /data in the install-recovery.sh I think i had issues with that. I have no idea what happens if it fails but it looks like it will hose your wifi. Not sure how it...

Updated with new version that only mount /data/media (/sdcard). It should run almost as fast as stock with the downside that /data/apps is still limited to internal storage space.
