Mine worked fine but I added an extra step to switch Magisk to Core Mode before the first restart. Since it started fine, I installed TWRP from Magisk, switched Core Mode off and everything is fine. Not sure if Core Mode did something or not but wanted to remove as many variables as possible

If you renamed the file recovery.img then the command should be 'fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery.img'

Yes, L29 and I had checked for an update yesterday morning and System Update reported that I was up to date (192) then last night, I got the notification that a new update was ready to be installed.

I'm not sure what I'm missing but can't get the phone to boot into TWRP. I've followed the installation instructions, made sure I didn't mistype anything and even did dd in both adb and term on the phone. No matter what button I press, phone always boots to rooted system. What am I missing?

If you're asking what TWRP is and need a video guide, I don't think this is for you. You're going to end up with a brick.

It means you can download it from the link I posted and install it on your phone. The phone will complain that it doesn't have permission to install from unknown sources but after you enable it, you'll be able to install.

What leads you to believe that? If you are seeing the eRecovery menu while holding Vol+&Power make sure the phone is not plugged in at all. Not even to the charger. Had that happen to me before.

No, simply hit System Recovery in HiSuite with the phone in fastboot mode and HiSuite will take care of everything

I wasn't discrediting you but I've been around XDA to know that there is always a jackass that puts people's hopes up with some fake ****. I don't have a sub to FunkyHauwei so couldn't test it but will definitely get one now so the phone is unlocked and ready for TWRP when available

You can and should try to dirty flash the stock ROM first. Don't forget to flash TWRP immediately after as not to loose recovery. You should then boot to system to test if it's working properly. If it's not, you may have to do a clean flash.

No, I still have OOS dialer

Mine is working 100% including VVM but I had to use the one from Magisk for the 5/5T. I disabled both options (Google Dialer 1 and 2) in the .profile I could not get VVM to work with the rom's dialer.

Anyone on TMo that's using the Google Dialer? Is your VVM working? I dirty flashed and picked the second option for the Google Dialer (removes OOS Dialer) and my VVM disappeared.

I dirty flashed last night's update 0517 and it seems like my issue is fixed. The first time I opened Maps, it did complain about low accuracy and had me do the figure eight with the phone a few times but after that, it worked fine. Thanks for such a solid rom

I just noticed an issues with Google Maps. When I try to get directions, initially the GPS is somewhat off of my actual location and it takes anywhere from 30 to 45 seconds to get my correct location. Is anyone else having this issue?

I've followed all the suggestions in this thread and still can't answer an incoming call from the floating notification. I have to press the lock button and answer the call from the locked screen. Any other suggestions?
