    Post [ROM][V500][5.0.x][CM12] Official CyanogenMod 12

Just got a G Pad 8.3 V500 and immediately slapped CM12 on it :) Seems to be running just fine so far and just minor bugs seen. This was a FULL wipe (format system as well) as i had no data on the device. I havent even connected my Google Account yet. In my case its a GUI thing that has...

Post Nexus 5 max wifi speed?

The solution is to use a AC router where the Nexus 5 can connect or LINK at a faster speed - in the 400Mbps range.

Anyone having issues with SMS (using Messaging) not marking messages as cleared when opened (selected) from the notification area? I get a SMS, pull down notification, click it and it takes me to the message. I read and reply and then back out or close it and it still gives me the icon saying...

Post Why does it say I only have 1794 mb of RaM?

The device has 2GB of RAM but you the "BIOS" or whatever controller is in there allocates some for itself and the hardware in the phone (mainly GPU) and the rest is left to the OS. Sharing RAM is good in general but many systems require X amount of RAM whether it's actively being used or not...

Post T-Mobile, drops from LTE to 3G when making a call

LTE in it's current implementation is a DATA ONLY service so when you make voice calls it drops that connection and connects the call. Since 3G is Voice/Data it shows the 3G/H connection available to you at that time. When you hang up it goes back to LTE. With Sprint it uses CDMA so theres no...

Post [ROM] [4.4] [NIGHTLY] CyanogenMod 11 for Nexus 5

Simple, just make your own then. I have my GAPPS custom as well. Just simple use the script to tell it what to delete and place GAPPS/Chrome and all that where you want it in the zip file. Shouldn't need to include any of those though, just tell the script to delete then download from the Play...

Post [HELP] T-Mobile data - bad Nexus 5 radio or the wrong APN setting?

Yeah I was gonna say the same as it seems speeds limited on IPV6 for your Nexus 5.
  13. S

Post Any chance we can run the Nexus 5 on verizon?

No still not because version's VOICE network is CDMA and if they don't have your ESN in their database you can't connect. Simple as that.

Post [Q] Call Mom not working N5

That's the problem, you pick a contact and try it again and it still asks Who's Mom! Once you pick a contact it should save that information and then be able to dial it again easily.

Post [Q] Slow/delayed notifications and refresh when on corporate Wi-Fi

Yeah it all depends on where your server is routing traffic before it goes on the internet. There could some branch office to main office links setup which sends your traffic there first, that's for the location stuff. Firewalls could be blocking pings though which is needed for push GMAIL and...

Post [ROM] [4.4] [NIGHTLY] CyanogenMod 11 for Nexus 5

Does anyone know if the M3 Snapshot is using the new kernel or did they revert the change that lowered the CPU boost speeds from 1497mhz to 1197mhz? They made that change a while back with the new kernel but now touch boost ramps up CPU to 1497 on the M build again.

That's cuz ****ing WhatsApp uses RINGTONES for their messaging sounds instead of notifications. Post [ROM] [4.4] [NIGHTLY] CyanogenMod 11 for Nexus 5

You wont have those options as the CM ones are built into the CM Dialer. Stuff like the settings area with vibrate and all that will be gone as you'll be using Google Launcher.

Post [Q] How do I stop network throttling?

No such thing as they are just throttling you based on the amount of data you've downloaded i'm sure. So after X amount of time they slow you down. Simple as that.

Post [Q] Low signal and Wifi

I said 4.4 to test it. Testing is the only way you'll narrow down the variables. We can't always do all the work for you :p Once you are on 4.4 then you can see how it works then and if not then jump back to 4.4.2 and then you test something else. And I said about "bars" being meaningless for...

FINALY Chris123NT sees this too. So yes we're not all nutz :p I'm using 1/25 since that was before the new kernel too and still seems to work great even now after 30hrs still having 0.93GB free. 29. S

Post [Q] Low signal and Wifi

Try using the .17 radio instead of the .23. You have to be rooted to downgrade or flash the 4.4 factory image to test it. Otherwise bars means nothing as long as you aren't dropping calls. Different phones display them differently. Look at About Phone - Status and see the actual dBms and see if...

Post [Q] MMS sending with (no subject) before every text

Isn't that a iPhone issue then? Group messaging does use MMS and you can send with or without a subject but boldly displaying that there is no subject should be an issue on their end. I get group messages and it never shows "no subject"

Post [ROM] [4.4] [NIGHTLY] CyanogenMod 11 for Nexus 5

Holy hell. Now I see the RAM issue people were talking about. I noticed my live wallpaper shut down so I went to check RAM and i'm only running at 221MB FREE. Normally this is in the 1.2GB range since I only have 10 apps installed (including Google Maps, Search and the other normal GAPPS). Only...

No Trebuchet yet. nHD is a camera resolution such as VGA, SVGA, XGA, SXGA, and up. 10MP you wont see on our device because we have a 8MP camera so how can it take 10MP photos? There are tons of camera apps on the play store, pick one and enjoy.

1/28 EXPERIMENTAL had some issues for sure :) I did a full wipe and installed it along PA Gapps and kept having Setup Wizard and Google Play Services crash so I couldn't even complete the wizard to get to the Launcher. Wiped again and went back to 1/27 and that boots just like normal. EDIT -...

Post [Q] Does removing back and/or disassembling Nexus 5 void Google Warranty?

That makes no sense. If the device is subjected to things not covered by the warranty, it is null and void at that point. Same with opening the the device and perfectly putting it back together. They may never know it was opened and probably will still honor the warranty for other claims later...

    Post [Q] Losing network randomly

Umm from the looks of it T-Mobile has crappy signal in your area: Most of the night you were on -110dBms which is as low as low gets (-117 being dead :p) You did start off at -91 which makes me think they must have been working on a tower and turned one off so you were on a further one...

    Post Camera App for 120fps?

What are you smoking? The CPU isn't the one capturing the video, it's the camera module and if it's not capable then the CPU doesn't matter. Surely the CPU needs to be able to process that much information as well but the camera module is the one that has to be capable of capturing it.

    Post LTE issues

I see you are in New Haven, i'm in Fairfield and the samething happens with AT&T for me as well. This is however by design as LTE is only a DATA solution, not a VOICE option (yet - that comes with VoLTE which AT&T is doing in 2015 but we'll need new phones anyways). It's similar to HSPA+ being...
