In my case I did update from LL directly, battery was a disaster, disabled location services improved a lot. Found out how to do CSE installation with LG UP, reflashed the phone and disabled location services, battery is great...I end up the day with 40% with normal usage with WIFI at work.

If you flash one of the ROMS from the LLP thread, it works great. Make sure to flash with the flash tool 2014, and do a CSE flash, brand new phone with top performance

Do a CSE flash with the flash tool. When there are massive OS changes like coming from 4.4.2 to 5.0, is better to CSE it..fresh install!

YOu have 2 options.... 1- Root it with pourple drake and delete the lte apk and the odex file, restart the phone and check again. 2- Install one of the latest GLOBAL roms from LG, J version and N version are globals...this will give you the option of LTE, if it does not come up, repeat step...

Getting the battery to 0% often, will decrease battery life on the long run. Battery should never reach 0%, 5% is very good to start charging and also never charge it to 100%, 95% is fine...

Turn off Google Location Reporting....that will save you a lot of battery...

Not true, unified development now...32GB and 16GB won't matter for ROM usage purposes..

Dial *#*#4636#*#* and on preferred network type, choose lte/gsm/wcdma...the other option is to upgrade to V10J from Asia, with complete wipe, this will choose 4G first...
