I had the same exact problem, but it was solved by flashing Electron Kernel. My phone would go into deep sleep or just completely lock up after a few minutes. Flashing Electron kernel immediately fixed my issues, but it seems like it also broke my Wifi hotspot.

Quick update. While ElementalX 4.0.0 is super stable, the camera doesn't work (too dark) because it was designed for 7.1.1. I'm trying out Electron Kernel now.. will report back I used the linked Benzo Gapps. The stock kernel was very unstable for me, elementalX fixed the stability issues...

I had major slow down/freezing issues with the previous test build and stock kernel, but the latest 7.1 build along with EX Kernel 4.0.0 beta is working smooth as butter

phh's root does break certain things though.. I couldnt' change the DPI anymore using Benzo's built in tool and had to find another app to do it (seems like it couldn't detect phh root just like Titanium Backup)

Yes I got it to work. I used SuperSU's full root uninstall feature, then flashed Magisk V6, phh-magisk root. Then install phh's SuperUser app from the playstore as well as Magisk Manager APK.

Yes both Wifi and Bluetooth scanning are off. Just noticed that if I turn Wifi off completely though, the problem goes away completely. Guess I'll have to just keep it off!

Has anyone come up with a fix of any sort for the bluetooth stutter issue? I love this ROM but the Bluetooth issue is an absolute dealbreaker for me. It stutters every 2-3 seconds making it unbearable to listen.
