we get that all apps ask for permission to allow access to our location, contacts, emails etc....but to gather our private info and sell them to China.....thats messed up.
time to sue.
my rule of thumb is that with new phones you'll be bored with it after 3 months.
and so far the nexus1 hasnt come close to being a yawner. and I haven't even root the phone yet! :D
phones are starting to become like computers now. as soon as you buy one a new and better one comes out tomorrow.
and what sucks about is...you're suck with a 2 year contract.
I don't know if my eyes are playing tricks but when outside in the sun...the screen looks to be more readable.
I think they must of bumped up the brightness.
you don't need to root to install froyo and you don't need to hook up your nexus to a pc. my method is pretty simple and it works.
edit: I shouldn't say it's my method. Its actully a backdoor to installing froyo.
did they took out the silent phone option?
because I can't seem to find it and even when I hold the volume button down all the way for silent....its not there but only vibrate.
TIP:
If you guys are getting installation aborted massage...try downloading the file from your phone.
From your phone go to page 1 and download the link. Use androzip app to rename the the file to update.zip then move from download folder to sdcard. Reboot the phone and follow page 1 steps...
I don't understand how HTC replaced the cracked screen when physical damage isn't cover under warranty or is it so?
If it is...then whats the point of having phone insurance?
wow that sucks and I feel bad for you guys..
but Im lucky to say since I bought the phone on launch day...I have not gotten any dust under the screen. Not one nano speck of dust. **knock on wood**
Im a regular at that site and yeah 80% of their tech news are related to Apple. Its ridiculous . And wait til their iPad hype is over....their stupid new iPhone rumor posts will be next.
so where do you take it to when the phone needs fixing? And when you need to pay to fix...does it come out of your pocket and state farm reimburse that amount?
thanks.
oh I'm sure google knows about this....its just that they don't want to do anything about it yet because they want to 'catch up' to 140,000 apps by apple.
