    Thread Custom screen-off animation possiblity

Does anyone know what the new Android 2.3 screen off animation runs off If it uses a .zip like the boot animation, we may be able to create custom screen off animations. I'm searching for the mysterious and possibly non-existent file now, but it would be great if someone could help, or tell me...

Post Google better not abandon or neglect N1 for this NS

I'm pretty sure they did ages ago and just handed over everything to HTC, who will probably get rid of all N1 support in about 6 months when the last warranties expire. In terms of software though, it BETTER get Gingerbread and Honeycomb.

Post Can Nexus S use 16 GB for apps?

It should have a huge amount of app storage, because apps can be installed on the data partition and the SD card/storage partition. It's probably about 200MB for the system partition, the rest can be used for app storage. On the Galaxy S phones and Galaxy Tab running 2.2, which have SD slots...

Post [Q] Where to get a replacement vibrator?

The built-in keyboard doesn't have a vibrate option. In fact, no part of the stock OS has a repetitive vibrate mode. I assume that it simply isn't designed to continuously rumble like this, it's a phone not a game controller.

Post Broken N1 Screen. I need recommendations...

Send it to HTC for repair since it has to still be under warranty and if you have rooted it they won't be able to find out until after repairing it. Fixing it yourself would be the next best thing if you feel confident with a torx screwdriver.

Try the 6.1.0 beta, it's got some great features and is very stable. 6.0 was just a stabilised rooted port of FRF83, 6.1 is FRG83 with some extra stuff like a better camera app and settings in the notifications bar.

Post From nexus one to T-Mobile G2/HTC desire z.

The G2 MUST be tri-band in order to work on T-Mobile's network and have the required 2100mhz band. The Desire and G2 are 100% hardware identical, so why build 2 different wireless chipsets when only one is needed?

Post From nexus one to T-Mobile G2/HTC desire z.

The processor looks amazing, but it really isn't much different. Unless you think that 7.2mbps isn't fast enough for your phone or want a keyboard, stick with the Nexus. The G2 is vanilla, the Desire is Sense. That's the only difference. The G2 is really a Nexus Z

The only US carrier to respect Android at all has been T-Mobile, who have added some network apps to their phones, but they are removable (i think) and don't change the actual phone experience. Other than that they've supported vanilla Android and Google search- I will stick with them for...

Post Nexus One, why not 720p officially

New app Have you considered that it might just need new camera drivers and other software? The hack here clearly isn't a full update.
