    Post Vzw 5.1 soak ota

Post 8 was a reply to someone asking for instructions on how to install it. The instructions someone posted aren't specific to the XT1096 but this file is definitely specific to ONLY the Verizon (VZW) XT1096.

    Post Vzw 5.1 soak ota

Is this something new? Would this have the fixes for the bug(s) that they supposedly found in the initial 5.1 attempt 3-4 weeks back? Edit -sorry been out of the loop or gave up on waiting. Didn't realize this just came out!

Post (Return 2 Stock) VS980 39A Factory Stock

how does one unroot without supersu after flashing this? If i try the "full unroot" option in supersu after flashing this, it just spins and spins and does nothing. EDIT _ after a reboot and doing who knows what (I think i checked a setting in Supersu that grants everything root before hitting...

Post VS980 39A - Stock Lollipop Flashable Firmware

Because the dev that posted this clearly states in the first post to UNROOT the phone before running the back to stock zip. Specifically, he says to unroot within the SUPERSU app. Does that cover your concerns? Are you saying I don't need to unroot?

are you needing a data connection to make a "call"? If it's a regular call you don't need any data connection. You can turn your data off and still make calls.

No can't seem to see any other reference to it either. I'm using "Slim_normal_gapps.BETA.5.1.x.build.0.x-20140430.zip" with it, wondering if it came from there

Post CM12 based on 5.0.2 (Lollipop) OTA

I'm using the 5/9 one since Sunday and have only had a minor issue with the mail app and my work email. I'm also on-call at the moment and it has been perfectly fine for text and voice so far. Battery life is good. Doesn't seem as good as the stock rooted 39a rom I was running before but...

Post CM12 based on 5.0.2 (Lollipop) OTA

I've been running the 5/09 build the last few days - It's been good so far. I haven't had any issues and as someone who's been using a non-rooted Moto X for the last year and a half, I think this thing rocks! The G2 is really a great piece of hardware for what I paid for it. Thanks to...

Post CM12 based on 5.0.2 (Lollipop) OTA

This rom is looking better and better. I still seem to have issues with data, after a quick flash of the May 2 build - drove up the road a ways and it will switch to 3g and basically have horrible throughput. This is an area where it should not switch to 3G (at least it never would before on...

Post Are Lollipop rom's on VS980 stable now?

Not quite yet, although very close. I'm new to the G2 scene, and have been out of the loop for about a year and a half while using a non rooted Moto X :D , but after a weekend of playing with Xenon and a few other AOSP roms on a new vs9800 G2, here's what I see as of today: There seems to be a...

Post Camera With 3rd Party Apps

I tried the JB+ camera and didn't find it to be an improvement. I was hoping for a lot more options to adjust the image before capture. I get the best results (stock camera) with HDR set to OFF, Touch to Focus DISABLED. White balance is jacked up unless you're in sunlight...

Post One Drop - Phone go Boom

Don't drop your phone. The fact that it cracked up is not a reflection of the Moto X quality. It's the fact that "chance favors the prepared mind" as somone once said. Every time I switch to a new phone, there's always a thread like this one. Somone drops it and it blows up. That's all on...

Post How is your battery life

First day (Friday) I went from 8am off charger, until midnight with 20% or so left. Maybe 30 minutes of phone calls and constant use, including passing the phone around to coworkers and having several people opening the browser and youtube. In other words - IT ROCKS

    Post Flash Addicts Rehabilitation thread

Whole reason to flash in the past was because the phone sucked, battery was getting zapped too fast, or it was several versions behind with no upgrade in sight. Or it had some crappy customization and wasn't stock enough. I lost the desire to do flash once Jellybean hit my Razr. The Moto X is...

    Post value of custom ROM

Obviously it's not like a Verizon device that has a bunch of bloat and excess so out of the box we are looking great. Some of the roms are and will be simply stock deodexed/zip-aligned which allow for more customization/theming etc. Right off the bat, I'd like a stock based rom that I can...

I walked into a Samsclub and bought one. Tried to get it yesterday, was told they were there somewhere but all they gave me was the ticket that would normally be on display. Today I went there and after much confusion someone found one of them and I was able to buy it. :highfive:

I would tend to agree. I know the cpu may be capable of such speeds in ideal conditions (not inside a phone) - but 2.0ghz was a bit crazy to hear, but then the claim of 4.0ghz. I just have to believe that the cpu is being told to run that fast, but there is something in place to prevent it...
